If you could please post a new question including the model number from your units' I.D. tag, we can check to see if there are any other possible substitutions for this part for the model in your home. Hello, I have a ge stove and while I cant find the exact model number, the part number on the ignitor is bk50044.52 and it has the 4 wire per ignitor knob harness. About 4 hours after some liquid was spilled, all 4 ignitors were trying to ignite without turning knobs, the spark seemed strong. If I actually turned the knobs they work. I took the harness out and disassembled, cleaned all liquids and contact points. Put back together, same thing. I'm thinking the only thing common between all 4 ignitor tips is the module. As soon as it's plugged into the wall, it's trying to light all 4 ignitors. A previous poster had the same issue and you recommended the harness with switches. I do not doubt your recommendation at all, I am just curious why the harness and not the ignitor module? Thank you

Ray, the spark module receives a signal from the spark switches on the gas valves, they are regular switches that when closed, complete a circuit to the spark module and send high voltage to the igniters. At least one of the switches is reading closed. Without a model number I cannot give you anymore information other than there are two wires in the switch harness, disconnect them both, check for continuity through the two wires, if there is continuity, at least one switch is closed.

J. Gross, First, remove the burner caps, and check the burner bases to make sure they're clean, free of rust or corrosion, and there's no debris in the burner area(s). Turn off the gas supply and check that the sparks are a bright "white" color when the burner valve/switch is turned on and the spark is "striking" the same spot on the burner, consistently. You didn't mention if the range operates on Nat gas or LP gas, but blowing air towards the burner changes the fuel/air mix,
