Naomi G June 10, 2015 for Model Number J797E2DC (Americana Automatic GE Range I need a new sensi-temp burner. Is it available? I purchased the range in approx. 1970.
1 Answer Naomi G., Here are the part numbers for the burners on your unit. Wanted to supply all of them even though you asked for the auto burner. The left front and right rear is part number WB30X342, the Left rear is part number WB30X348. The auto burner which is for the front right is part number WB30X357 which unfortunately has been discontinued by the manufacturer with no suitable replacement available. The only way to see if you can locate the part is check for an obsolete parts dealer. Read More...

Rob T. August 23, 2011 for Model Number WB30X354 No model number on stove. Have replacement 3 wire heat element wb30x354 for an old Hotpoint. Came with small 2-holed brass plate, which is not on the original part. Does this plate go over the 2 free ends of the heat element, with the screws going down through the wire ends, plate then heat element ends? Is it meant to provide a connection between the 2 free ends of the element, like the other 2 ends are connected during manufacture with only 1 screw required?
1 Answer Hello Rob. If you only have two wires feeding the element than yes you will need to use the plate that comes with the kit. It does bridge the two free ends. One of the two wires will also attach to one of the screws that secure it into place. If you have three wires feeding your old element then the bridge will not be used. Read More...
Ben K. July 04, 2011 for Model Number P7 electric range... 3 in 1 element. I have a 3 in 1 element on the front burner. The coil tries to heat and then stops. Because it tries to heat ( the temp comes upto about 150 or so degrees and then cuts off). I am wondering if there is a cut off switch somewher. IN the center of the coil there is some sort of a sensor. I have removed and joined the 2 wires but it still does not work.
1 Answer Hello Ben. Based on the information you provided, it sounds like the switch may be bad in the unit. It sounds like the element is working, if it heats up. Hope this helps. Read More...
