Scott June 16, 2021 for Model Number wwse3160a0ww Won't spin dry, replaced clutch, down to metal, now will start to spin, four revolutions to high speed and stops. Will try a few times to run then continues with the wash cycle. Have to hand wring the water out before drying. Could this be the water level switch? The pump keeps running until the timer goes to the next phase. Regards, Scott
1 Answer Scott, You would certainly want to check the pressure hose to make sure that it is not clogged and then check the pressure switch because this could be the cause of this issue. Read More...
Bea January 27, 2021 for Model Number GE EWA3000B1WW Washer will NOT spin dry, clothes still wet upon taken out of the washer when cycle ends? I have to squeeze out the water before placing them in dryer. HELP! HELP!
1 Answer Bea, You didn't mention any noises during the spin cycle? so you will want to remove power to the washer, raise the top panel, remove the tub cover and check for a small article that may be stuck between the tubs, causing a "drag" on the tub and not reaching the high spin speed. The next check would be to remove the front panel and check the drive belt for excessive wear WH1X2026/ WH1X2026, and the clutch AP2045377]/WH05X0253 excessive wear or damage to the clutch plates/arms. Danny November 01, 2014 for Model Number WHRE5260E1WW My washer will fill, wash, rinse but it want spin what can cause this?
1 Answer Danny, You will want to check the brake assembly on the unit to make sure that it is not bad. If the brake is not releasing this would cause a no spin issue and would need to replace the transmission on the unit. Read More...
Marc February 17, 2014 for Model Number WCRE6270D0WW My GE started to overfill the water on the 2nd cycle and sometimes on the 1st cycle. I have it for almost 10 years w/out a problem. Any thought? Thank you
1 Answer Hello Marc, You need to open the control panel and remove the hose from the pressure switch. There could be a lint build-up of a detergent residue that is causing a partial clog to the pressure switch. Blowing back toward the tub through the pressure switch hose can sometimes clear the clog. Otherwise, I would replace the pressure switch WH12X10093. Read More...
Ron November 18, 2013 for Model Number wcre6270dicc The water does not stop filling at the desired level To test the pressure switch do I disconnect the electric or the low voltage wire at the pressure switch to see if it is the switch or the board?
1 Answer Hello Ron. If you can stop the water from entering the machine by turning off the timer or unplugging the unit, you will need to look for a bad pressure hose or replace the pressure switch. If the only way to shut off the water is at the shut off for the water hoses, you will need to replace the water valve in the unit. Read More...

Greg October 22, 2012 for Model Number Whdsr315daww (GE) Your answer to Dave for Model Number whse5240docc seems to answer my concern. There is mention of a "dome" pocket that collects lint, suds etc. I have cleaned the opaque hose but I can see debris in the dome. Is there a way o get into that "dome" pocket so I can get debris out?
1 Answer Hello Greg, There is no way to access the inside of the dome, but use of the pressure switch hose can be used to blow the debris out of the way. This is the only way to clear the opening short of "fishing" it clear with a nylon string or something equivalent. You cannot use anything that may puncture the tub or dome. Read More...
Mike September 20, 2012 for Model Number whse524od1ww my washer only fills up with cold water, when its time for it to fill with hot, it doesnt, just cold comes out.
1 Answer Mike, you most likely have a faulty fill valve WH13X10024. But make sure you have hot water at the faucet and the fill hose and valve screens are not clogged with sediment from the water pipes/supply. Read More...
Greg S August 03, 2012 for Model Number WHRE5260E1WW My washer fills up w/water then washes but won't drain! I'm guessing it's the pump!?
1 Answer Hello Greg. Test for power coming to the drain pump WH23X10030. If there is power there and not draining, replace the pump. If there is no power, make sure the lid switch is good and if so, replace the control WH12X10323. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3.
