This washer water level pressure switch senses tub fill via air pressure and tells the control when to stop filling and advance. Replacing a failed switch restores accurate water levels to prevent overfilling, underfilling, and cycle stalls.

  • Monitors air pressure from the tub through a small hose to determine the selected water level
  • Signals the timer/control to open/close the inlet valves and move the cycle to agitation/spin
  • Symptoms include overfilling or not stopping fill, little or no fill, or cycles that won't advance because "full" isn't detected
  • Water level doesn't match the selector setting or changes unpredictably
What's included: 1 pressure switch Installation notes:
  • Disconnect power and shut off water supply before servicing
  • Access the control console; label or photograph wire locations and transfer them to the new switch one at a time
  • Move the existing pressure hose to the new switch; ensure the hose is clear, not kinked or cracked, and fully seated
  • Reinstall the knob/control panel and test fill at multiple level settings; access and steps may vary by model

Scott, You would certainly want to check the pressure hose to make sure that it is not clogged and then check the pressure switch because this could be the cause of this issue.

Bea, You didn't mention any noises during the spin cycle? so you will want to remove power to the washer, raise the top panel, remove the tub cover and check for a small article that may be stuck between the tubs, causing a "drag" on the tub and not reaching the high spin speed. The next check would be to remove the front panel and check the drive belt for excessive wear WH1X2026/ WH1X2026, and the clutch AP2045377]/WH05X0253 excessive wear or damage to the clutch plates/arms.

Danny, You will want to check the brake assembly on the unit to make sure that it is not bad. If the brake is not releasing this would cause a no spin issue and would need to replace the transmission on the unit.

Hello Marc, You need to open the control panel and remove the hose from the pressure switch. There could be a lint build-up of a detergent residue that is causing a partial clog to the pressure switch. Blowing back toward the tub through the pressure switch hose can sometimes clear the clog. Otherwise, I would replace the pressure switch WH12X10093.

Hello Ron. If you can stop the water from entering the machine by turning off the timer or unplugging the unit, you will need to look for a bad pressure hose or replace the pressure switch. If the only way to shut off the water is at the shut off for the water hoses, you will need to replace the water valve in the unit.

Hi. Change the lid switch part # WH12X10141. The lid switch senses the lid closed for safety. From the symptoms described then replace the lid switch. For the magnet assembly order WH12X10276. Thank You.

Hello Greg, There is no way to access the inside of the dome, but use of the pressure switch hose can be used to blow the debris out of the way. This is the only way to clear the opening short of "fishing" it clear with a nylon string or something equivalent. You cannot use anything that may puncture the tub or dome.

Mike, you most likely have a faulty fill valve WH13X10024. But make sure you have hot water at the faucet and the fill hose and valve screens are not clogged with sediment from the water pipes/supply.
