This washer water level pressure switch senses tub fill via air pressure and tells the control when to stop filling and advance. Replacing a failed switch restores accurate water levels to prevent overfilling, underfilling, and cycle stalls.

  • Monitors air pressure from the tub through a small hose to determine the selected water level
  • Signals the timer/control to open/close the inlet valves and move the cycle to agitation/spin
  • Symptoms include overfilling or not stopping fill, little or no fill, or cycles that won't advance because "full" isn't detected
  • Water level doesn't match the selector setting or changes unpredictably
What's included: 1 pressure switch Installation notes:
  • Disconnect power and shut off water supply before servicing
  • Access the control console; label or photograph wire locations and transfer them to the new switch one at a time
  • Move the existing pressure hose to the new switch; ensure the hose is clear, not kinked or cracked, and fully seated
  • Reinstall the knob/control panel and test fill at multiple level settings; access and steps may vary by model

Hello Willie, The water valve is probably not closing. If you unplug the unit and the water continues to fill, it's the valve or the water pressure is low. If you unplug it and the water stops, then there is an electronic problem.

Hi Dave. Access your back area of your panel and release the pressure hose from the pressure switch. Then blow back into the pressure switch and see if there are any obstructions. If there was then you will need to remove the inner basket and clean all the lint , build- up. There is a "dome" pocket on the side of your tub where the pressure hose plugs into. Here is where lint , debris, and soap suds will build up and cause over flow issues. If this does not cure the problem, then you will need pressure switch part # WH12X10093. Check to make sure your pump is cleared totally. This will stall the timer also. Thank you.

Hello Mike. You will need to remove the back of the control panel to access the pressure switch and replace it. Once you access the switch, you will need to remove the hose and wires from the switch and install them onto the new switch. Hope this helps.
