For Ge Timer (Part Number: OEM11621493)

Robert for Model Number WDSR2080DAWW

My washing machine fills, agitates, and then drains when the dial is half way in the washing cycle. It does not fill again and runs the pump until the end of the washing cycle. It does not fill again for the rinse cycle and appears to continue to run the pump and does not spin either but the timer eventually runs to the end of the wash cycle. Thinking about replacing the pump and water level switch first and if that doesn't fix it, try replacing the more expensive timer. Am I on the right track or is there something else I could be doing to fix it? Thanks!

Hello Robert. First remove the hose from the pressure switch and blow through it looking for clogs in the air dome on the side of the tub. If all is clear, replace the pressure switch on the unit.

Hello Sandy, Based on the information provided, you may want to check to see if the hub nut WH2X1193 may be loose. The hub nut holds the hub plate in place so you may also want to make sure that there are no loose screws for the inner tub.

Hello Sharon! If you unplug the power to the unit does the water continue to run? If the water does not continue to run you will need to check the pressure switch hose to make sure it has not kinked or clogged and replace the pressure switch WH12X10065. If the water continues to fill you will need to replace the water inlet valve WH13X10024. Thanks!

NOW: Fill skips directly to agitate, makes sounds as if trying to agitate but does not agitate, and adds no water on wash or rinse cycle. Cycle continues and drains(manual fill) water. Does not spin tub between wash cycle and rinse cycle. Initially, it filled and washed and pumped down, did not spin, refilled and drained, but did not spin. Clothes were rinsed but no spin cycle. Test cycle wash by filling the tub with water from hose, the washer will pump the water out and will not refill. Rinse cycle will drain but not spin. Timer?

Hello John. Yes, if the timer is stuck in spin cycle, and the machine continues to run, it sounds like the timer is bad. Hope this helps.
