Virginia August 31, 2021 I have an older GE Washer with a bad timer. The washer has had the sticker with the model number removed so I have no way of telling what it is. However the numbers on the bad timer are:Kingston 71300-A 03096 6052B GE 175D5100P003 M298 Would you be able to tell me what time I can use as a replacement and whether you carry it? I also need the knob for it...does that come with it?
1 Answer Virginia, Unfortunately, we would not be able to advise on the correct timer without the model number of the washer. Read More...
Ron July 25, 2021 for Model Number WDSR2080DBWW The timer on my washer was not advancing and according to the model of the washer, it calls for a WH12x10295 ( AP3873828 ) replacement. I was given a replacement part # WH12x10296 (not by Appliance parts pro) and was told this would be the new replacement. They are exactly identical in appearance and fit exactly. The problem is the replacement is not functioning like the one I took out. Could you explain what the differences are between the two timers? Thank you for your time. Ron
1 Answer Ron, the difference would be internal as far as what terminals make connections through the contacts during each portion of the cycle. The use of the manufacturer-recommended timer WH12X10295 would be suggested. Read More...
Aubrey July 04, 2021 for Model Number WJSR4160G2WW I'm trying to replace my timer but every time I look up the part number it's not coming up bit one that looks exactly like it comes up with a different part number. Do the part number have to be the same for me to replace it?
1 Answer Aubrey, According to the manufacturer, the correct part number for your unit will be WH12X10348. You will not go by the part number on the timer that you have because that number is just for the manufacturer to use. Always go by the model number and parts list to locate the correct one. Brian August 20, 2019 for Model Number WBB2090G5WW I am not able to the knobs off the timer. I watched the video on here and it doesn't match my timer. I watched another video on YouTube and it didn't match my timer. I can't figure out how to get them off.
1 Answer Hello Brian, the video is a general guide, this washer model has a timer where the timer shaft has a groove in it near the front end and the knob has a slotted rear tube where a plastic clip that goes over the rear of the knob shaft and sits in the timer shaft groove, , you have to gently pull outward on the knob and push back on the front control panel same time and use a small screwdriver or needle-nose pliers and pull the clip off and the knob will slide off. Ann Ackerman March 11, 2017 for Model Number WBB2090F1WW I ordered parts 6,7, and 8 to repair the knob on my GE washer. But I found that the gear that part #8 was supposed to connect to had teeth that were worn so now the knob slips. Do I need a new timer, part 100 (AP3873828) in order to fix this or can I just get a new gear piece? Also, can I return the compression ring that I ordered but didn't need?
1 Answer Ann, If the gear around the timer is damaged then you would have to replace the timer of the unit. Read More...

Dave March 09, 2014 for Model Number WCSR2090DAWW When in the depressed position, the knob that manually advances the washer timer does not engage with the flat dial that shows the position in the wash cycle. This prevents the manual movement of the flat dial and timer. When I manually rotate the flat dial with the arrow that shows position of the timer in the wash cycle, the timer works fine. Do I need a new timer or just the knob and flat dial pieces? How does the timer shaft connect to the flat dial and how does the flat dial attach to the knob?
1 Answer Hello Dave, The dial WH11X10033 has a tab that meshes with the shaft part of the control knob WH01X10310 and the compression ring WH02X10093 has to be in position. If you remove the knobs and there appears to be no stripping of the gears, the problem is in the timer assembly WH12X10295. Read More...
