Ac April 09, 2011 for Model Number Wwsr309ot8we I still can't get the teeth to grip when the dial is on, only when the dial is off do the teeth grab. I lined up the timer space with the dial space and still no luck.
1 Answer AC, You did remove the original ring clip, and install a new one when you started the repair ? Not only do you have to align the timer knob and skirt, but this as well "Your knob is attached to the shaft with a small plastic clip, you can take a small screw driver or putty knife. Insert right underneath the knob, push the plastic clip out. The knob should just come right up. The new knob should already have the new clip on it and should just slide and lock by itself." You may want to recheck. Thanks and Good Luck Read More...
Ac April 05, 2011 for Model Number Wwsr30900t8ww I received knob wh1x2754 and dial wh11x10015. But when I put them on the timer the teeth won't grab. If I don't use the dial I can get the teeth to grab but I don't know what cycle I'm using. Where do I go from here?
1 Answer Hello Ac. There is a cut out in the timer, and a ridge in the dial, you will need to match them up to allow the knob to seat properly. Hope this helps. Read More...
Ac April 05, 2011 for Model Number wwsr3090t8ww I received a new knob but it will not fit. The knob is too short to make contact with the teeth on the timer. Do I have the wrong knob or do I need to do something with the timer unit? My orginal knob was almond color (the new one is white) and it looks to be about 1/4 inch longer than the new replacement.
1 Answer Hello AC! For the almond knob you should have received part number WH1X2708. What part number did you receive? Is the dial WH11X10006 still on the product? Thanks. Read More...
Tracy March 20, 2011 Hello. I pulled the tip out with the needlenose pliers but no matter how far I pull it out, the pliers are taking the space between the shaft and the knob, so it won't click! If the timer was solid in its backing then it would be easier, but it pushes in and/or the plier is taking up 1/4 inch so it won't click. It almost seems impossible for me at the moment. I would love to kow the best way to still do wash until I can figure this out. How best to turn the white plastic piece on the shaft inside on timer. Thank you!
1 Answer Hello Tracy. Is the timer loose? You only need to pull the clip out to remove the knob. Once the old knob is removed, you can slide the clip on the new knob, and push it onto the timer shaft. Hope this helps. Read More...
Tracy March 18, 2011 for Model Number WNXR2100t2ww Curious. If I can't get the knob on, can I use needlenose pliers to turn the inside rotator thing to start the water and then pull it to start the process!!!!??? I need to be able to do wash and I took off the knob thinking it would be easy to "slide and lock on" and now I can't get it back on. Will elotrocute myself and/or is there any downside? Thank you! Tracy
1 Answer Hello Tracy. The downside is that you could damage the shaft of the timer. It would be best to replace the knob before using. To replace the timer knob, you will need to use a needle nose pliers to pull out the knob retainer, then the knob will come right out. Take the new timer knob insert the retainer on the groves of the knob and push it on the timer shaft until it snaps on place. Read More...
Tracy March 18, 2011 for Model Number WNXR2100t2ww The timer on the inside falls back, so this clip is not easy to just snap back on. They are a half an inch apart and there is no leverage to attach it to timer since it falls back. thanks,Tracy
1 Answer Hello Tracy. Yes, these are a little tricky to do. Try using needle nose pliers to clip it on. Thanks. Read More...
