Hi Lionel. Sorry about the Issue. There is a clip holding the timer knob to the shaft. It is behind the knob directly. Use a pick tool to pull upwards on the clip. This part # is WH1X2117. Behind the skirt/dial assy. is a compression ring part # is WH2X650. Thank you.

Hello Henry. You can replace this from the front. You will need to remove the knob clip WH1X2117. It pulls out from behind the timer knob. Once the clip is removed, the knob WH01X10311 slides off the shaft. Hope this helps.
