Jb June 08, 2013 How can you tell when the timer is back to the off position? I have a new timer and knob but the knob spins freely once its pulled out to start the cycle.
1 Answer JB, Normally on the timer dial there is an arrow or an indicator that tells you where the timer is set too. When the timer is in the off position this arrow or indicator should show that it is on in the off position. Read More...
Nick April 24, 2013 Our GE washer doesn't properly move thru the cycles automaticaly, it can be manuall moved however. It uses Mfg p/n WH12X10348 for a timer, would replacing the timer solve the problem? If so, is the timer simply a pop out and pop in part?
1 Answer Nick, The timer would be the most likely cause of not advancing through the cycles. The knob is a pop in pop out part. Read More...
Nicholas P April 22, 2013 for Model Number GE (timer p/n WH12X10348 When the washer is set to cycle, it will go through agitation but then it seems to get stuck instead of an auto move thru the cycles, I must manually move it to complete the wash. Does this mean the timer needs to be replaced? It is a GE washer with P/N WH12X10348 for the timer. Secondly, if it should be replaced, is it a pop out, pop in unit?
1 Answer Nicholas, Yes, the timer is a pop in pop out style in which you would access the timer, take the timer knob off and install the new timer. The motor on the timer is what would be faulty. The timer would need to be replaced. Read More...
Brian April 02, 2013 for Model Number WJSR1460 washing machine ge Hello, Having a problem with unit agitating. It fills, spins and drains but no agitate. I pulled the agitator apart and all splines were clean, nothing stripped. Also checked belt and was fine. Leads me to think timer. Just wondered your thoughts before I drop 100 bucks. Anyway to check timer? THanks
1 Answer Hello Brian. You need to check the coupling WH43X10032 on the unit and see if it is bad. If it is stripped out, it will prevent the unit from agitating properly. Read More...

Joe M May 04, 2012 for Model Number WHDRR418G1WW OCCASIONALLY WHEN MY TIMER GETS TO DRAIN AND SPIN IT WILL SIT THERE , FILL,SPIN AND DRAIN REPEATEDLY. THE OTHER NIGHT FOR 8 HOURS WHEN I SLEPT. WHEN I MANUALLY MOVE IT, IT WILL MOVE ON. I TOOK THE TIMER OUT ,OPENED IT AND HAVE NOT TRIED TO PUT THE 3 PIECES BACK TOGETHER. I THOUGHT I WOULD GET A NEW TIMER BUT MAYBE THATS NOT MY PROBLEM? THANKS
1 Answer Joe, Are you sure the washer is draining(the motor and drain pump run) or could the washer be syphoning? Check and make sure the top of the drain pipe is at least 38 inches off the floor. Check and make sure the end iof the drain hose is not "stuffed" into the pipe or sealed with tape. and check for a slow, restricted drain system, causing a vaccuum on the drain system, and sucking the water out the tub. Good Luck and Thanks Read More...
David December 21, 2011 for Model Number wjsr4160g1ww Tried to start washer like normal, seemed the turn dial was just slipping, took knob off & reseated it back on, now there is a humming sound coming from timer area & it seems I have to turn it manually. No matter if the dial is pushed in or pulled out, it still selects & starts the cycle, but it seems it is not going from one cycle to another.
1 Answer Hi David. It does sound like the timer contacts are pitted and/or shorted. It is time to replace the timer part # WH12X10348. Thank You. Read More...
Doug November 07, 2011 for Model Number WJRR4170G0WW I have a G.E. Top load washing machine that works great untill it gets to the drain and spin cycle. Then it stops right there and something hums. I can bump the dial up manully and it will finish the load. It does this in all the wash modes on the dial. My first thought was the timer so i bought one from your mail order store. I installed it an it still does the same thing . Now I'm out 100.00 bucks and its still not fixed. Help me please doug.419-722-6528
1 Answer Hi Doug. It sounds like the water valve cold water hose or inlet screens are plugged and not letting in any cold rinse water. If the valve is humming. Remove fill hoses and flush out into a bucket at full stream to make sure they are not clogged. Check the inlet valve screens as the cold clogs more. If you need a water valve, the part # isWH13X10027. It is a triple water valve used to blend (mix) water temps immediately for filling. Automatic temperature circuit. It would not be a timer control as it does it on all cycles. Thank You. Read More...
