Gm August 22, 2020 for Model Number GE Dryer GTD42GASJ2WW I ordered a drum belt from your company. when disassembling two wires came off the timer for GE Dryer GTD42GASJ2WW. Timer AP6031056 X, T, F. I put white on F, black w/ yellow on X, I see on another question you say F is not used. Please help, would appreciate a drawing/diagram, terminals to wire colors. I can't find a wiring diagram anywhere.
1 Answer GM, the white wire would go to terminal T and the black/yellow wire should be coming from the selector switch to terminal X. It is correct that the terminal F would not be used with the model number provided. Read More...
Michael January 11, 2020 for Model Number GTD42EASJ0WW Hi. I'm trying to replace a GE dryer timer. Part # WE04X24549 has been discontinued. New Part WE04X24550 has some differences and I'm not sure how to proceed. The old timer has 2 wires to tab C. Brown wire to on/off switch and Beige wire to Extended Tumble switch. New timer has room for only one connection to tab C. New timer also has a tab F that is not on the old one. Assuming one of the connections (beige wire) goes to tab F. Thanks for any help you can give me.
1 Answer Michael, The timer should be the same with the exception of the terminal F. This was added for the timer to be used with other models so disregard that terminal. Wire the new one the same as the old one using the stampings on the back of the timer. Read More...
