1 Answer Hello Bill. Pull out on the knob. On the back of the knob, there is a small plastic clip. You will need to use a pick tool or an ice pick and pull the clip from the knob. Once you pull out the clip, the knob pulls off the timer WH12X10338 shaft. Read More...
Courtney April 10, 2012 for Model Number 110.22832100 Sears Kenmore GE My Kenmore/GE top load washer will fill and agitate/wash the entire cycle but when it comes to the rinse cycle it just stops. We have checked the drains and everything is clear. There are no belts on this washer, so that can’t be it. We have tried other wash settings and the same thing happens when it gets to the rinse cycle. I have also checked the lid to make sure that the lid switch is clicking and securely closing and it seems like it is. Could this be the timer?
1 Answer Hello Courtney, This sounds to me as though the cold water valve 285805 has failed, unless the cold water got turned off without your knowledge. If you change the water valve, be sure to unplug the unit and turn off hot and cold water before removing the hoses. Read More...
Gene Donnelly March 27, 2012 for Model Number WLSR2000G2WW I am attempting to troubleshoot my washer. The timer will move on the left side for delicates, but does not perform functions that the timer says it should. The right side of the timer does not move properly, so the water fill does not shut off, and has flooded the floor. Before I purchase a new part, I would like to be certain what part is needed? Do I need to replace entire control board? Thanks, Gene.
1 Answer Hello Gene, After studying the wiring diagram, the only thing in the circuit that isn't used in the delicate cycle is the timer WH12X10338. Read More...
Danny M March 24, 2012 for Model Number wcvh6800J1mr My GE front loader washer will start to wash and wash for a short time them just stop and unlock the door. I can hit start again and it will wash again. It will not move to the next cycle. I can manualy switch to the next cycle and it will rinse and spin. I have cleaned the filter and did a 30 sec reset, but no good. Do I need a new timer or what should I do next? Thanks for any help
1 Answer Danny, You don't really have a timer, you have an electronic control boardWH12X10468 and you should eliminate other possible causes, before you replace it. It could be as simple as a loose connection at the board or water level switch. The information we sent you, should be a big help, and get you up and going. Thanks and Good Luck Read More...
