Ted J. July 22, 2011 for Model Number WLSH2000G3WW I have 3 water levels on the washing machine dial, but the washer now only fills the tub fully with water regardless of the dial position. The low and medium water levels also fill the tub full. Question: Is this a switch or a water valve malfunction and what are the needed parts to fix the problem?
1 Answer Hello Ted. Based on the information you provided, it sounds like the pressure switch WH12X10065 is bad and will need to be replaced. Check and make sure the pressure hose is in good shape, without any clogs. If so, replace the pressure switch. Hope this helps. Read More...
Mike July 19, 2011 for Model Number wbb209of1ww The washer will not stop filling up ,floods the house. Will drain what part do I need?
1 Answer Hi Mike. Spin out all the water from the unit. Then select the small load size. Start the washer, and while filling, un plug the cord. If the washer still fills with no power then you will need to replace the water valve. Will you please send us the exact model # of your unit? Thank You. Read More...
1 Answer Hello James! You will need to check the fill hoses to make sure they are not kinked or clogged. You will need to check the inlet valve WPW10175893 and pressure switch WPW10292584. You can test these parts using a multimeter MA-DM1. Here is a link from our free repair forum you can refer to for help with using a multi meter. Tommy April 06, 2011 for Model Number GE S3600DOWW If the water level switch goes bad, would the water level keep rising & keep the washer from beginning the wash cycle? My washer just fills up & does not stop, did not know if it is the water level switch or the timer? The washer will drain & spin but will not aggitate the clothes.
1 Answer Hi Tommy. If you can stop the water from flowing in the washer by turning off the timer. The pressure switch WH12X10065 will more likely be faulty. If you disconnect the washer from the power outlet and water continues to flow in you will have a bad water valve WH13X10025. Hope this helps! Read More...
