Phyllis January 14, 2022 for Model Number LDF7551ST There is a E1 error code and I think the drain pump needs to be replaced. There is no water on the floor and no water under the unit. Is there a video for replacing the drain pump on an LG? I didn't see one and I want to watch it before ordering the part to make sure I can do it myself.
Glenn September 11, 2021 for Model Number LDF7774WW My mom says the dishwasher stops in the middle of the drain cycle. When I checked the pump manually it runs then stops then runs and you can hear it drain. Is this normal? All the video's I see show the pump working all the time not on and off like my mom's dishwasher is doing. It needs a drain pump because it makes a funny whining noise when running. So I'm going to order it but I know the on and off is controlled by a circuit board, not the motor. Am I correct in this too. Thanks for your help.
1 Answer Glenn, Thanks for the question!!! It is can be normal for the pump to alternate between run and stop depending on the model (common on Bosch dishwasher). I can't find any data on your model to support if this is the case or not. If the motor is to run constantly it may be a built-in thermal protector on the drain motor that causes the run and stop the issue. You can measure the electric resistance of the Drain Motor it should be 20-40 ohm. Since the pump is whining(typically an indicator the seal failed) and you are replacing it, I would install the new pump and see what your results are before worrying about any additional issues as they may not exist at that time. Johny Hallman December 16, 2020 for Model Number LDF7551ST Error 0E on top control panel. Dishwasher will not drain. I used a cup to empty sump. checked drain lines and they are not blocked. Whining noise only during drain cycle until it quits and gives the error message. Which part is likely culprit and how can I isolate further?
1 Answer Johnny, It would be recommended to test to make sure that there is 120 Vac getting to the drain pump when it is supposed to drain but it does sound like the issue will be a faulty drain pump. Read More...
Claudia November 04, 2019 for Model Number LDF7774ST The dishwasher is making a lot of noice and a technician said the problem was the Pump assembly. Wish one is that part? The case assembly or the Pump motor assembly? I would also like to know if you can recommend a technician to install it in Chevy Chase, MD. Thank you
1 Answer Claudia, unfortunately, this could be either the drain pump assembly EAU62043403 or the circulation pump case assembly ABT72909202. The cause could potentially be an item stuck between the impeller of either, or even a stripped impeller. To ensure the correct one is repaired, it is recommended the drain pump and impeller be inspected as this will isolate the possibility to one or the other. Read More...
Timothy B November 29, 2016 for Model Number LG Dishwasher ldf7774bd Part #ABQ73503004 drain pump I am replacing this pump and the 3 pin connector was cut and needs re-pinned so that it will operate the pump properly. I have the pins repaired but have no way to know the order of the wires. There is a dark blue, a light blue and a white wire. I need to know the order from left to right looking at the pump connector receptacle. Any and all help is greatly appreciated. Tim
1 Answer Timothy, Unfortunately we do not have a wiring diagram or service manual to be able to assist with your question on this unit. Read More...
