The Pump Casing is an OEM replacement part for LG washing machines. It is a crucial component that houses the drain pump, which is responsible for removing water from the wash tub during the drain and spin cycles.

Symptoms of a need to replace the pump casing:

  • Leaks or water seeping from the pump area
  • Unusual noises or vibrations during the drain or spin cycles
  • Pump failure or inability to drain water effectively
  • Cracks or damage to the casing itself

Causes of a faulty pump casing can include physical impact or mishandling, excessive wear and tear over time, or potential manufacturing defects.

This OEM LG part is also compatible with Sears/Kenmore washing machines.

Ken for Model Number WM1814CW

In your video you show 2 wires connecting to the pump case on each side (total 4 wires) . I recently had a repair person come and although he didn't do the repair he left with some of our parts. Therefore I need to replace the pump case but don't have the old one to look at for reference. All I see as far as wires to connect to my pump case is a single wire housing connected to 4 wires. Can you confirm what the wiring inlet looks like on this pump case PN AP4436514? Is it 4 separate wiring inlets like in the video or does it take one wire housing that has 4 wires? This is crucial because if I cannot connect the wires it will not work. Thanks and kind regards.

Ken, On the right side of the pump you will need a brown and black wire that will attach to that side and the other 2 will be on the other side. Unfortunately we do not have the wire part numbers as the manufacturer is not listing them.

Arnie, You will want to check the filter on the drain pump to make sure that it is tight. Also check the hoses to ensure that there are no damaged hoses in the unit. These would be the most likely cause for the leak.

Hello Sonia. If your model does not use a recirculation pump, that side will be sealed off.

Kirk, You will want to pull the hose from the bottom of the tub and check to see if it is clogged. If not clogged then check the impeller on the drain pump to make sure that the impeller is not damaged and make sure that it is not loose. Also check the resistance of the pump which should be between 10 to 20 ohms. If not then replace the drain pump. Check the pressure hose to make sure that the hose is not clogged and the air dome is not clogged. Check the pressure switch to make sure that it is resetting.

I have an DE and the water is not draining...I checked the hose and filter and both seem clear. Lots of water drains out of hose so wouldn't that mean that there is no clog...or is there another place that something could be hung up or is more than likely the drain pump. Is there a diagram or directions for taking off the front panel to get to the drain pump assembly and do you have to replace the casing as well. Also how do you make sure it's level?? Thank you kindly

Alana, Are you sure it's not a "OE" error code, that would indicate a drain issue, the "DE" error indicates a door lock issue. To access the pump, you will need to remove : The washer top, Unscrew 2 screws on the back of the top plate.Pull the top plate backward and upward. The control panel, Disconnect the Display PWB Assembly connector from Trans cable. Pull out the drawer and unscrew 2 screws.Lift the left side of the Control Panel Assembly and pull it out.Unscrew the 9 screws from the Control Panel Assembly. The front panel, Unscrew the 4 screws from upper of the canbinet cover. Unscrew the screw from filter cover.Put a flat ( - ) screwdriver or putty knife into the both sides of the filter cover, and pull it out.Unscrew the screw from the lower side of the cabinet cover.Open the door. Disassemble the clamp assembly.Tilt the cabinet cover. Disconnect the door switch connector. Lift and separate the cabinet cover. The pump, Separate the pump hose, the bellows and the circulation hose assembly from the pump assembly. Disassemble the pump assembly by removing the screws in the front frame panel." Thanks

Hello Robert. If you need the recirculation hose you will need to order 5214FR4006G. If you need the drain hose, in the front of the machine, you will need to order 3108ER1001B. Hope this helps.
