Ashley for Model Number LFX25960ST

I recently replaced my old ice maker with a newer version (AEQ36756901). This new ice maker is pumping out ice quite nicely. The problem I am having is ice build up behind the ice storage bin on the right side of the compartment and I also have ice that forms in the space above the rubber seal on the door. I have tried all three size cube settings and it continues to happen. Although on the smallest size setting I don't seem to get as much ice build up. Any help you could provide would be greatly appreciated. Thank You

Ashley, You may need to adjust the fill tube that goes into the icemaker slightly. What is happening is the water as it comes in is hitting at a point in which it causes water to splash back out. Pull the icemaker out and lightly bend the tubing.

John, With the fill cup freezing on the icemaker, the issue will be caused by a faulty water valve. What causes this would be the water valve is seeping which allows a little water to flow into the cup and cause it to freeze over. The water valve part number that you would need is 5220JB2010A.

Scott, You will want to check the ice door on the unit to make sure that it is closing all the way and is not warped. If warped then you would need to replace the part. If the door is not warped but staying open then the solenoid is most likely the issue.

Johnson, The Er If error code is caused by a ice fan that is not working. If you open the left door there are 2 vents on the left wall of the refrigerator. Push on the light switch and if there is no air coming out of the top one then the ice fan, which is located in the freezer compartment behind the rear wall, is either blocked with ice or has failed. The ice fan motor is part number 5209JA1044A.
