Ashley February 17, 2015 for Model Number LFX25960ST I recently replaced my old ice maker with a newer version (AEQ36756901). This new ice maker is pumping out ice quite nicely. The problem I am having is ice build up behind the ice storage bin on the right side of the compartment and I also have ice that forms in the space above the rubber seal on the door. I have tried all three size cube settings and it continues to happen. Although on the smallest size setting I don't seem to get as much ice build up. Any help you could provide would be greatly appreciated. Thank You
1 Answer Ashley, You may need to adjust the fill tube that goes into the icemaker slightly. What is happening is the water as it comes in is hitting at a point in which it causes water to splash back out. Pull the icemaker out and lightly bend the tubing. Read More...
John H February 10, 2015 for Model Number Lfc25776st The water dispense opening into the tray keeps freezing up and blocks water flow. Unit still cycles but is creating the water to leak out of the back of fridge on to floor.
1 Answer John, With the fill cup freezing on the icemaker, the issue will be caused by a faulty water valve. What causes this would be the water valve is seeping which allows a little water to flow into the cup and cause it to freeze over. The water valve part number that you would need is 5220JB2010A. Scott February 02, 2015 for Model Number LFX25974 My ice maker does not want to dispense ice. Sometimes it will dispense and the next time it grinds up the ice and plugs it up.
1 Answer Scott, You will want to check the ice door on the unit to make sure that it is closing all the way and is not warped. If warped then you would need to replace the part. If the door is not warped but staying open then the solenoid is most likely the issue. Read More...
Patrick D January 29, 2015 for Model Number LFX25950TT Ice maker shows two issues: 1. would freeze up in the middle of ejection cycle with not all of ice able to be dumped. I relieved the frozen jam with a hair drier. But now, 2. it makes too much ice - like the bail has no effect. Your thoughts please.
1 Answer Patrick, With the 2 issues that you are having, this would be caused by a faulty icemaker in which the icemaker would need to be replaced. The part number for the icemaker is AEQ36756901. Read More...
1 Answer Pelham, It sounds like the dispenser solenoid may be the problem with the unit. The model number listed is not coming up as a valid model and we would need to have the correct model number to be able to assist properly. Please post your model number with a new question on the parts page. http://www.appliancepartspros.com/modelnumber_locator.aspx Read More...

Johnson N October 08, 2014 for Model Number LFX25975ST/01 My LG Refregerator had display Error code ER IF, and I have search through the Google it said it was cause by the Motor Fan, but I checked, motor Fan working fine. Can you help me to find out what's wrong with it ? Circuit board look pretty new and nothing burn. Air conduct is clean. Thanks for your answer.
1 Answer Johnson, The Er If error code is caused by a ice fan that is not working. If you open the left door there are 2 vents on the left wall of the refrigerator. Push on the light switch and if there is no air coming out of the top one then the ice fan, which is located in the freezer compartment behind the rear wall, is either blocked with ice or has failed. The ice fan motor is part number 5209JA1044A. Read More...
Manny October 03, 2014 for Model Number LFC22770 We do not yet have water plumbed to the icemaker . So which is the off position on the toggle switch ? ie if we push the toggle switch O in is the switch on or off ? ie the I on is out and the O off is in. So without water is there any indication to the icemaker being on or off. The manual says the icemaker will buzz even if it is not hooked up to water. There is no buzzing in either position. please advise Manny
1 Answer Manny, The icemaker is off in the position that has the I. The lights should also go off on the icemaker when in the off position. Read More...
Kc September 19, 2014 for Model Number LMX25981SW/ I keep getting icicles forming on the opposite end from the water supply of the ice maker which holds the feeler arm up causing no ice to form. I chip off the icicle then we get ice then icicles again. We have the temp at 37 degrees refrigerator and 0 freezer. I have used a level and the unit seems to be level.
