Joey January 10, 2017 for Model Number LG LDE3015 The display on my range is showing F-3 error code and the oven will not function. I already replaced the control and display assembly. In the manual says the key was held too long or shorted. What should I do? Thanks
1 Answer Hello Joey, You should have replaced the touch panel AGM73570601 since it contains the buttons, one of which is shorted. If it does not correct the issue, there has to be an issue in the control that the switches ribbon cable connects to EBR72822701. Read More...
1 Answer Hello Frank. For the control board you would just roll the unit out and remove a square panel cover on the back of the unit which houses the control board. Read More...
Frank R T October 20, 2016 for Model Number LFC21760ST How do I replace the main control board part # 6871JB1423N.
1 Answer Frank, You will need to pull the unit out and unplug the unit. There will be a small square cover that will have the control board behind it. Remove this cover and disconnect the wires. There will be a tab that holds the control board in place. Release the board and install the new one. Read More...
Judy August 27, 2016 for Model Number 79577712700 I inquired about a reset for the display panel after changing the control board. You responded that I should make sure the correct part was installed. The part available was changed from the original (2007). Do I need to change the display control board, electronic control board or any other part so that they are compatible with the new Control board? I have no interior light if I put the old board back in place. I'm frustrated because I feel I should be able to do this and answers are hard to find. Thanks.
1 Answer Judy, It would not be required to replace the display panel. The reason that we suggest checking to make sure that the correct part is installed is because sometimes the manufacturer will substitute to one part but a different part is required. If you still have the original part then you could look at the board and see if there is a part number on it. Use the number off the original board and see if it goes to the part number that you installed. These boards are just plug and play and should not need to be programmed. Read More...
Judy August 22, 2016 for Model Number 79577712700 I replaced the control board (3rd step) because the interior lights were not working in the refrigerator. After installation the lights worked perfectly, but I received an error code on the display ER CO, indicating an communication problem with the new control board. When I put the old control board back on, the light does not work, but I have no error code on the display. Is there a way to reset the display to eliminate the error code?
1 Answer Judy, There is no reset on the control board to eliminate the error code. You will want to look at the old board and there will be a part number on it and check to make sure that the part number is the same and that the correct board is in the unit. Read More...
Roman May 05, 2016 for Model Number LG bottom freezer Refrigerator LFD21860ST The display panel on the front door has been randomly changing numbers, making beeping sounds, and does not let me adjust temperatures or change to Celsius. It has now gone completely blank/black and even the light for the water dispenser doesn't work. Also, the temperature in the fridge has dropped and food is freezing. I have been guessing that it's the main control board but don't want to make an expensive mistake. Thanks
1 Answer Hello Roman, This can be an issue with the wiring harness, (normally at the door hinge), the display board 6871JB1433A, or the main board 6871JB1423N. Read More...
Philly Mom November 14, 2015 for Model Number LFC20760ST My fridge won't maintain temp control. The temp changes without any changes made by owner. It seems to be stuck on OFF now and i am worried. What do you think is the problem? Should I order a new main control board or is the problem with the thermostat unit inside the fridge? Please help?!?!?
1 Answer Philly Mom, With the unit changing temps on its own and going to off then the issue will most likely be in the power control board ABQ33905301. Read More...

Ralph F August 04, 2015 for Model Number LFC25760SW My ice maker is making ice very slow. I have lowered the freezer temp by 4* degrees. I replaced the ice maker, AP4457302, in Sept. 2013 due to the original one started to peel its non stick coating. Could this problem be associated within the Pcb Assembly Main AP4439541? Thank you
1 Answer Hello Ralph. Slow ice production is usually either a bad water valve or the temp in the freezer is not 0 to 5 °. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html Read More...
Joe September 05, 2014 for Model Number LFC25760SB Hi: My lights in my french door LFC25760SB fridge compartment will not come on. First I replaced the bulbs, no success. Now I have replaced the switch (thank you appliance parts pros), no success. I have just ordered the PCB ASSEMBLY,MAIN & the light socket assembly. Two questions: 1) Do you think replacing both these items has reasonable chance of fixing the issue? Could it be anything else? 2) Are there any instructions you can provide or know of any videos available on how to replace the light socket part or more importantly how to replace the PCB main assembly (which I believe is in the back of the fridge?). Thanks in advance for the help. I did really enjoy how fast I got the light switch, I only wish it had worked when I put it in. Thanks again and I look forward to hearing from you. Thanks, Joe
1 Answer Joe, To remove the light assembly, take the lens cover off from the lights and on either side of the front of the housing there will be 1 screw each side. Remove the screw and pull the housing down. This will allow you access to change the receptacles. For the control board you would just roll the unit out and remove a square panel on the back of the unit which houses the control board. Read More...
