Penny M Topeka , KS March 29, 2022 Appliance: Model SEARS KENMORE 795.79042.312 Leaking water at the back of fridge from ice maker input hose. Changed Ice Maker Water Valve assy. No fix. There was an ice blockage in ice maker. Defrosted and all is good. Spent $110 on the valve I didn’t need. Lesson learned. Recommend check for ice blockage first. On the plus side…. Scott H Florence , KY December 13, 2021 Appliance: Kenmore Refrigerator 79579023312 Water valve not letting water fill cube trays. Replaced water valve and tube assembly. Still couldn't get water to fill trays. I discovered that the old valve must have allowed a trickle of water in, which froze in the fill tube, blocking the flow of water. I defrosted the entire freezer and water line. Now the icemaker is working like a charm. The cubes also seem to be larger.
