Byron G February 05, 2013 for Model Number WM2077CW My machine will not spin, even when nothing is loaded, it acts like its going to then I get a "UE" error code.
1 Answer Hello Byron. Imbalance Error. • The load is too small. • The appliance is tilted. • Laundry is gathered to one side. • Non distributable things are put into the drum. Need to check the shocks and the sensor on the unit. Read More...
Charles October 01, 2012 for Model Number lg wm2487whm The spin cycle is hanging up. Only will spin one way occasionally. No clogs no error codes, everything else good. Thanks
1 Answer Hi. The Rotor position sensor switch part # 6501KW2002B picks up and sense thew position of the rotor. It is mounted to the side of the stator. It is accessible after removing the cover. It will be advantageous to find the supplied tech sheet inside the cabinet to aid you in the diagnosis. It allows you to put the unit in a diagnostic mode which brings up fault codes and tells you which circuit needs assistance. Remove the back and the stator cover. Rotate the tub in both direction and make sure it turns freely. Remove debris from the front of the tub bellows. Thank You. Read More...
Roger August 22, 2012 for Model Number WM0532HW How do I open the washer up to get to the Rotor Position Sensor Switch?
1 Answer Hello Roger. Pull the washer out and remove the back access panel on the washer. Then you can access the motor and disassemble to access the rotor sensor 6501KW2002B. Read More...
Scott July 31, 2012 for Model Number WM2032HS I get the LE error message. Machine won't spin. I have replaced the stator/rotor sensor 3 times. It works for a month and then stops again. What causes the stator sensor to fail, because that might be the issue. Thanks
1 Answer Hello Scott, This might not be the sensor after all. It could possibly be a bad connection to the sensor. I would check all of the connections by removing them one at a time and looking at them closely, then replacing them. When you changed the sensor before, it may have temporarily corrected a poor connection and it just loses connection after exposure to the units' normal operating vibrations. Read More...
Michael June 14, 2012 for Model Number WM0532HW My washer stopped agitating/spinning and displayed the "LE" error code. The washer fills/drains normally. I tried reseting using the start/stop button which got it going for a few days. Then no agitation/spin again. I replaced the Hall Sensor and while I had the stator out, I checked resistance across the terminals and got about 8 ohms between each terminal, and the stator looked to be in good shape. I reassembled, and the washer worked great for about 2 weeks. It just stopped agitating/spinning again and the "LE" code is back. Any ideas as to where I should look next? Thanks!
1 Answer Hello Michael. Make sure the motor has no cracks in the magnets and the coils look good. If so, you will need to replace the rps sensor 6501KW2002B based on the error code provided. Read More...
Rob February 15, 2012 for Model Number LG WM1832CW I, too, had the LE error message. Last fall I replaced the ball bearings on the washer and it worked fine until last evening. It went through the cycles and when it got to the rinse and spin cycle it didn't spin and I could hear a hum. I went through the processes outlined in the book. Unplugging and all but when I start it it will spin for a moment then stop and it jerks like it is trying to start then just hums. (for lack of a better term) I've ordered a sensor assembly part number 6501FA2462C. Do you think that will solve the issue or do I need to order another part. Good news is I will be gone for a week and that will allow time for the part(s0 to arrive. I look forward to your help.
1 Answer Hello Rob. Tyrn the basket and make sure it turns freely. If so, then the sensor 6501KW2002B may be all you need. However, if the problem continues, you will need to replace the stator assembly 4417FA1994G. Hope this helps. Read More...
Minh February 12, 2012 for Model Number LG TROMM WM2277HS Wash & Drain are working fine. Only the Drum not spin to dry my clothes. When the washer machine switch to the spin mode, it look like the motor spin but the drum not spin to dry out the water. Thanks,Minh.
1 Answer Hello Minh. Based on the information you provided, it sounds like the stator 4417FA1994G is bad and will need to be replaced. Make sure none of the wires on the unit are bad or broken. Hope this helps. Read More...
Lea February 07, 2012 for Model Number WM2277HW LE error code appears after 5 min. of cycle. I unplugged, I drained, did spin/rince cycle, the drum spins a little each side then everything stops and LE error re-appears.
1 Answer Hello Lea. Make sure the magnets in the rotor are not cracked. If they are good, then it sounds like the stator assembly 4417FA1994G is bad and will need to be replaced. LE code means the control board is not sensing the motor turning. Make sure there is no loose or broken wires on the machine as well. Hope this helps. Read More...
Ed January 04, 2012 for Model Number WM2277HS Did (2) loads and on the 3rd the unit filled with water but did not go into wash cycle. L.E. started blinking. It appears (from reading the forum), I need to replace the Rotor Sensor Switch (AP4440680) and/or the Stator Assembly (AP4440680). Please advise and thx.
1 Answer Hello Ed. Based on the error code you provided, it is best to replace the stator assembly 4417FA1994G in the unit. Check and make sure the magnets in the rotor assembly AHL72914402 are not cracked or broke. Hope this helps. Read More...
Mark September 28, 2011 for Model Number WM3677HW My washer /dryer combo drum will not spin, and when the initial wash cycle starts the water will not shut off and starts to fill the drum. About a month ago I noticed my clothes were not fully drying. As time went on the motor seemed to be cycling several times before it would spin out, and hardly at all in dryer mode. Eventually the machine threw a "PF" fault code. I powered it down, unplugged it, powered it back up and it worked fine for about 30 minutes, and then it completely lost power. I found that the main PCB was blown. I replaced it. Now the machine once again powers up, but the motor and overfilling issues remain. I tried performing the "QC" tests called out in the factory service manual, but can't even get it to perform the 1st (tumble clockwise) test. What could possibly be the cause?
1 Answer Hello Mark. Check the drain pumps and make sure they are not clogged, and the drain pipe is draining properly. If not, it will cause the problems your having. Hope this helps. Read More...
