Dexter April 25, 2017 for Model Number WM2277HB My lg front load washer (wm2277hb) was not spinning while making a humming sound as it try to spin with no error code being displayed. I reviewed several postings on AppliancePartsPros.com and YouTube videos. Similar complaints to mine suggested that the motor assembly unit (msu) needed to be replaced because the interior threading is worn. In fact, my msu interior was worn. Today I replaced the msu and the washer spun; however, the humming sound continued. I stopped the washer to check the main bolt for looseness and restarted the washer several times. On the third try, the washer spun a few times and stopped with LE code. Additionally, l replaced the drum bearings, seal and shocks a year ago. Is it the motor sensor or another part that is causing the problem described above? Please advise.
1 Answer Dexter, The LE error does indicate that the motor sensor is faulty and would need replaced. If it has been replaced but still doing the same thing then this will ba a control board assembly. Read More...
Ryan April 21, 2017 for Model Number LGWM2016CW I have a washer LGWM2016CW that fills up with water. it spins once then goes into a mode where the motor moves a little but wont spin . the whole time the fill cycle works .I receive an LE error and a full drum of water . I watched a you tube video saying it was this sensor # 6501KW2002A . I drained the machine using the service port hose and pulled the filter ( coin trap ) and it was clean. Performed a reboot and nothing changes .any thoughts ?
1 Answer Ryan, The LE error code would be a faulty Rotor position sensor which would be part number 6501KW2001A. Read More...
John Z March 14, 2017 I have a lg dle5977b dryer. You can power on, set length of time for drying, push cycle on button and drum doesn't turn. It does has power to motor.
1 Answer John, If the unit is getting power to the motor and the drum is not turning then check to make the belt is not broken, check to make sure that the blower wheel does not have anything caught in it and if it checks ok then the issue will be the motor. Read More...

Jay December 04, 2016 for Model Number LG. WM2277HS Our front load washer is not spinning nor draining. We get no Error Codes, I've cleaned the trap, but I do hear a motor with a slight grinding sounds. I checked the ohms on the motor and got a reading of 8 to 8.75 while off. I also checked while in diagnostic mode. Thanks

I turned it on its side and removed the large nut on the bottom and removed the metal bowl shaped piece and saw that the plastic washer shifter had broken so I got it and replaced it. Now the LE code is on it again. I checked all connections to make sure none were loose and everything seemed ok...what do I do now???
