Dave September 03, 2019 for Model Number WM2501HWA Yesterday, I noticed the clothes were still really wet. Despite the fact that the washer was trying to go into a final spin, I could hear cold water still going. I turned off the power to the washer, and the water sound stopped. When I turned it back on and set it to rinse and spin, I could hear the water running again. I turned the water shutoffs to off and allowed the machine to spin and finish the cycle. I then shut off power and turned it back on. When I turned the water on, it was not continuously running. Does this sound like a pressure switch problem? There was no error code.
1 Answer Dave, for the valves to turn on during a final spin, this would indicate a failed main control board EBR32268013. Read More...
Chris July 28, 2019 Hello, I have a front load LG washer (model WM2010CW) that leaves the clothes smelling bad after the cycle is done. When not in use, the front door is kept open at all times, and inside the unit doesn't seem to smell. At times my wife has noticed the clothes did not even get wet by the end of the cycle and other times the clothes are still dirty. Thoughts? Maybe a new water level sensor? Thanks for your response, Chris
1 Answer Hello Chris, this an electronically controlled low water use washer, if the water level sensor was out of calibration or the washer could not fill in time the washer would have shut down with a fault code in the display. If that has not happened, it's likely just a usage problem. If the washer does not have a clean cycle option, run a hot cotton wash cycle with a washer cleaning tablet W10549845 Affrewsh Cleaner for washers, afterward reduce the clothes load as needed. Joe December 03, 2018 for Model Number WM2277HS I have lg model wm2277hs. Problem I'm having is with a medium or heavy load aka denim jeans or a lightweight blanket, when the machine cycles to the rinse/spin cycle the tub will not drain and spin and after approx 5min gives me an OE code. I have removed and checked all hoses and th e y are clean. Is this the water level sensor? This machine works through a complete cycle with lighter loads. Thanks Joe
1 Answer Joe, The size of the load should not matter on draining and spinning with the heaviness of the load. This issue sounds likely that it would be a faulty control board on the unit. Read More...

Frank July 17, 2017 for Model Number WM2016CW Hello, I have an LG washer that won't get water in while in washing cycle it gives me an error of IE. but when I put the washer on the rinse and spin cycle only it will actually let water in. I already replaced the inlet water celenoid but it is still doing the same thing.
1 Answer Hello Frank. That code stands for Correct water level (246) is not reached within 8 minutes after water is supplied or it does not reach the preset water level within 25 minutes. Since the unit fills fine on other cycles, but not in the wash cycle, it sounds like the control board is bad and will need to be replaced on the unit. Read More...
1 Answer Has, You will want to access the tech sheet inside the unit and check to see if there are any error codes that are showing up. This will guide you to what the problem is with the unit. Read More...
Skip September 13, 2016 for Model Number 79648842800 My washer will not empty the water in the tub. So do I need to replace the water level pressure switch or the water drain pump.
1 Answer Hello Skip. Test for power to the pump 4681EA2001T. If it is there, and the unit does not drain and it is not clogged, you will need to replace the pump. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html Read More...
Dt June 27, 2016 for Model Number wmv3570hva We have a relatively new (e.g. 18 mos.) front load washer...noticed from time to time that the water would not drain (towels especially) and then noticed some water on floor. Upon closer exam, water is coming from top outlet on back (just below hot/cold inlet). From what I see, most likely cause is bad water level switch. Seems straightforward on the replace but want to be sure i am not missing anything.
1 Answer DT, Yes if the unit is overflowing then the pressure switch would be the issue but would also want to check to make sure that the pressure hose is connected and not damaged. Read More...
Dave June 20, 2016 for Model Number WM0642HW Drain pump was working intermittently and water level in washer seems lower than previous normal...I know it doesnt use a lot but clothes are not really cleaning. I will order the drain pump but is there a likely cause for the less than desirable water level...screens are clean, water enters rapidly the washer just thinks it full enough too soon...hence if you paused a wash after it is "full" the door doesnt even click to stay locked.
1 Answer Hello Dave, You will need to check the pressure hose and the pressure switch on the unit. Either could cause the issue your having. Read More...
