William July 05, 2017 for Model Number Magic Chef Refrigerator Model RB19K-4A Need a defrost timer : Wires coming out to make contact with timer are Blue, Orange, Brown and Yellow. Blue wire is the seperated terminal in the timer. Also where will the loose black wire on the timer go #1 or #2 terminal on timer? Many Thanks
1 Answer Hello William. The black wire that was included with the kit would only be used if you had a three wire set up and needed a jumper wire. You should connect your wires to the same number you disconnected them from. For example, orange would go to #3, blue to #4, yellow to #1 and brown to #2, hope this helps! Read More...
Walter O July 04, 2017 for Model Number Magic Chef RB19K-4A refrierator Defrost timer Provide me with the proper part number defrost timer for this unit: Wire colors in connector: 1=white, 2=yellow, 4=orange, 3=blue Also if this timer comes with a loose black wire which terminal does it connect to.!! thanks
1 Answer Walter, The "original" defrost timer has been discontinued by the manufacturer. It has been replaced by a "universal" direct replacement part WP4391974 / WP4391974. The replacement part will contain instructions, wiring information to convert and install the defrost timer in your machine. The part is in stock and available at this time. Thanks, Read More...

1 Answer Hello John, If there is a frost buildup the issue has been caused by a defrost failure, C0472.4.8, CF2003-56, C0507.4.3. If there is no frost buildup, you most likely have an air circulation issue caused by a bad evaporator fan motor C0507.4.2-3. Read More...

Is there something else that needs to be checked? Or did I receive a defective defrost timer? If you require additional information, please let me know. I look forward to hearing from you soon. Thanks Gerry B

Gerald M March 31, 2014 for Model Number mcbr1010w If I move the defrost timer manually and it doesn't go into defrost mode is that just because the timer is bad or something else also?
1 Answer Hello Gerald. If the unit is not defrosting, you will need to check the timer, thermostat, and heater in the unit. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Victor February 23, 2014 for Model Number defrost timer#AP4565266 (CF2003-56) for magic chef MCBR1010W Hello. I recently installed my defrost timer but still the freezer won't stop to defrost. I have already been explained that it could be the thermostat or defrost heater, but before checking these parts I want to be sure I have installed the wiring correctly. I plugged it in first the same way the previous one was installed (not original and installed by someone whose expertise I now doubt) and then by color scheme the timer shows. None of them worked. Could it be that I did not plug it n correctly? Victor
1 Answer Victor, The wiring of the timer should be as follows, terminal 1 should have a white wire attached, terminal 2 should be a pink, the number 3 terminal is yellow and the number 4 terminal is blue. If it is wired this way then the issue would be the thermostat or the heater. Read More...
Chuck A September 21, 2013 for Model Number magic Chef Model MCBR1010W Fan comes on but compressor wont come on. I know timer is bad, I used to be able turn it by hand to get a defrost cycle, but now no cooling.?
1 Answer Chuck, Most likely the reason the compressor will not come on would be caused by either the defrost timer or the PTC relay. You can test to see if you are getting power to the relay and if so then the timer is not the issue but would be the PTC relay. Read More...
