The Refrigerator condenser cleaning brush is an OEM accessory designed for refrigerators. This 28-inch nylon bristle brush helps remove dust and debris buildup from condenser coils located at the back or bottom of refrigerators. Regular cleaning of condenser coils is important for heat transfer and efficient operation. Over time, dust and dirt buildup acts as an insulator, forcing the compressor to work harder. Using the correct condenser cleaning brush allows for the thorough yet gentle removal of contaminants without risking damage to delicate coil fins.

Symptoms of a dirty condenser include higher than normal energy usage, extended run times, higher interior temperatures, and eventual compressor failure if left unattended for extended periods. This refrigerator condenser cleaning brush is compatible with all refrigerator models.

For Pro Refrigerator Condenser Cleaning Brush (Part Number: OEM16895589)

Hello Randy, You can use the diagnostics on the units' Tech Sheet to determine what component is failing. It sounds more like the start relay with the clicking sound you have heard. The frost build-up on the back wall of the freezer sounds like there could be a defrost issue. You will need to remove the rear freezer wall to see the frost pattern and the start relay on the side of the compressor may also need to be replaced.

Ted, You will have one of 2 possibilities with this issue. Either you have a bad dispenser control board or the issue will be that one of the door switches is bad.

My ice maker isn't making ice. It slowly made ice and now I have zero ice in bucket. The fill tube is completely clear but am not getting water to ice maker. I may good pressure going into valve. Supply tube is clear of debris. I ran the ice maker through a harvest cycle and received 118VAC to water inlet valve. I performed continuity test on the valve and received ~174 ohms. I could not locate ohm rating on valve. Since the valve reads below 200 ohms, would it be best to replace the valve? Would it recommended to replace ice maker and water inlet valve together?

Ahrman, There should be a set screw around the knob area that will allow you to adjust the temp warmer or colder. It will have a arrow to tell you which way to turn for colder.

"Service" light comes on every 48 to 96 hours. I have cleaned the condenser fins. The light is turned off by depressing two differenct buttons - 1 for 15 seconds and another for 10 seconds. The service company wants $350 minimum to fix the problem. We have a clean house with no pets and only two of us using the refrigerator. The unit is 11 years old. Is there a less expensive solution? The unit, otherwise seems to be operating properly, but when the service light is on the temperature seems too cold and occassionaly freezes a refrigerated area.

Hello Ken, The problem could be a faulty thermistor or could be a bad control board that would be causing issue.

Hello Robert, The defrost drain is stopped up. Condensation never produces enough water to puddle unless it's a really large air leak.

Hello Paula, You have to use the brush under the front of the unit. I usually lay down with a flashlight to see what I'm doing. I like to have a vacuum cleaner to get the lint up as I go so I don't make too much of a mess. If you're afraid to stick the brush in there, you can unplug the unit first.

Paula, you will need the remove the kick plate in the front of your refrigerator. The coils are underneath the refrigerator on your model. Slide the brush under the refrigerator onto the coils and gently brush the coils with the brush. The cleaning brush has soft bristles that will not harm the condenser coils. Hope this helps you, thanks!
