Jason, You will want to check your evaporator coil in freezer compartment and make sure that the evaporator is not iced up. If it is then test the defrost sensor to make sure that it is good and the defrost heater. If these are good then check to ensure that the damper that is in the refrigerator compartment is not stuck open and will open and close. If the damper is good then it will most likely be the main control board that is the issue but if the damper is not working then replace the damper.

Phil, the user interface not responding to input at the water selection would indicate a failed interface. However, the REV number would be necessary to ensure that the correct control is identified.

My ice and water dispenser quit working about 8 months ago. The refrigerator and freezer have functioned as normal all this time. I replaced the two switches inside the water/ice lever. Didn't help. Recently, I had a tech come in to fix this issue. They were unable to do the repair. They suggested that I replace the computer board. After the tech guy left my house, my freezer and refrigerator have quit working. I lost all my food plus diabetes medications. The tech and his company are NOT taking any responsibility for this. Would replacing this computer board solve all my issues; ice & water dispenser, freezer, refrigerator? Thank you

Hello Big Willie, The mainboard that the technician had to have been bad to make the unit stop operating. I would replace it before going forward with any other repairs. Let the unit run for 24 hours and verify proper temperatures and then look at the dispense issues.

Bruce, check the DA47-00301D Thermal fuse for a "closed" circuit with a multimeter. If the fuse checks OK, check for any loose or corroded connections and wires at the rear wall then replace the DA41-00669A Main Power Control, Board if all checks OK. Thanks,

Linda, Some of these models have defrost issues and they do not clear the ice built up in the defrost allotted time. We will send you a service sheet on how to address this issue. Its simply moving a sensor to a different refrigerant line to allow a longer defrost. When ice is present in the coils the airflow suffers and reults in warmer temps.

Walter, You will want to check the fan for ice build up around it. If there is then clear the ice and check for air leaks that could cause air to get into the freezer. For the icemaker not cycling then check to make sure that the freezer temperature for between 0 and 5 degrees and if it checks ok then the icemaker would be the issue.

Robert, I can send you a tech sheet to check voltages from the main control. It is clear what to test for. If voltages test good from board then your user interface is most likely the cause.

Its all built to buy it again in 2 years I have my 4 year old piece of crap and a 35 year old great running fridge.

Dean, Based on the information of multiple issues then this would most likely be a faulty main control board on the unit.

Tucker, The first thing that you will want to look at is the power supply to make sure that you only have 120 vac +/- 10% at the wall outlet. If this checks ok then check the power supply cord to make sure that there is no damaged to it and check the heaters to make sure that they are not grounding out and causing failure of the control board.
