Joel August 02, 2016 for Model Number Samsung gas dryer dv331agw Q about red hourglass icon I see on left side of panel on 3-year old Samsung gas dryer model DV331AGW. It's not a power issue, as I can see the lights, but it won't turn on to run the cycle. The Check Filter (or Clean Filter) red light also comes on for a moment, but I’ve tried turning the dryer off and on, resetting circuit breaker, cleaning the filter (even cleaning the space below the filter) and the exhaust line. Door seems to close (even if I don’t hear a loud click). Any suggestions on what to try next? I believe Samsung removed a type of electronic reset.
1 Answer Hello Joel. Unplug the unit for a bout 20 min to reset it. If the issue continues, you will need to make sure the thermistor is good and if so, replace the control board on the unit. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Tony July 27, 2016 for Model Number DV350AGW/XAA-0000 The dryer won't start and the display can't be changed from Timed Dry. Thermal fuse, belt, and thermistor are all OK. It has been blowing thermal fuses fairly often, but the ducting is reasonably short, not dented, and clear of lint and any other obstructions. Is there any realistic way to check the control boards? 1 Answer Tony, The only real way to test the boards would be power in and power out. If the display is stuck on one thing and will not start then it would be suggested to first make sure that the unit is not in a control lockout state and secondly if it is not then the user interface would likely be the issue. Big Papa Rice June 29, 2015 for Model Number DV331AER/XAA-0000 Samsung Dryer will start a setting and will run for about 14-20 min then will power off completely... will not restart or power back up for some time. Then it will start back up if power button is pressed after 20-30 min. Have checked the vent to make sure is clean ( it wasn't completely but is now clean all the way to the out side). I have read many different posts that it could be many different things ... Suggestions? Motor heating up?

Jeff October 05, 2014 for Model Number DV350AEW/XAA-0000 Our dryer looks like it is working, but the drum doesn't turn, the blower doesn't move any air and the heater doesn't heat. When we start it, the display looks like it is running. It goes through the whole cycle in about 2 minutes and looks and signals its done. No error message is displayed. Took the top off, the belt is intact. I can hear contacts pick up when it starts but nothing starts moving.

Paul M February 09, 2014 for Model Number DV331AGW XAA 01 The Samsung dryer doesn't start, when powered on, the drying, cooling and finish lights illuminate and the filter check light flashes for a few seconds, when I press the start button, nothing happens, the time counts down. I cleaned the filter and checked the back of the dryer which is clean. Thanks
