Joel for Model Number Samsung gas dryer dv331agw Q about red hourglass icon I see on left side of panel on 3-year old Samsung gas dryer model DV331AGW. It's not a power issue, as I can see the lights, but it won't turn on to run the cycle. The Check Filter (or Clean Filter) red light also comes on for a moment, but I’ve tried turning the dryer off and on, resetting circuit breaker, cleaning the filter (even cleaning the space below the filter) and the exhaust line. Door seems to close (even if I don’t hear a loud click). Any suggestions on what to try next? I believe Samsung removed a type of electronic reset.
Answer Hello Joel. Unplug the unit for a bout 20 min to reset it. If the issue continues, you will need to make sure the thermistor is good and if so, replace the control board on the unit. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3.
