For Samsung Range Main Control Pcb Assembly (Part Number: OEM16959930)

Brian for Model Number Samsung Gas Oven RangeNX58H5600SS

I have a 2015 Samsung Gas Oven RangeNX58H5600SS that was having problems with the touchpad (some buttons no longer functioned); I replaced the pad with a Superunner Membrane Switch Touchpad DG34-00027B. It worked for about 3 weeks, and then I started getting error code SE with beeps. I attempted some resets, made sure touchpad was installed correctly with no luck. The touchpad may have gotten wet, but appears sealed from moisture...I then bought and installed a Range Oven Control Board DE92-02588J. It now works for about 6 hours then starts the SE code again. I have tried many resets; self cleaning, etc. with no luck. Is there a way to tell where the short is? I have a multimeter, but not enough info about what to test and how. My suspicion is the replacement touchpad was bad-but is there a way to test it rather than buy another? Please help-I am very frustrated and my wife is stockpiling way too much "I told you you couldn't fix it" argument ammo...

Brian, the main control connection CN301 can be tested for a short between the pins on the connector. If there is a short, the main control DE92-02588J has failed. If there is not a shorted pin set, then the touchpad DG34-00027B is faulty.

Hello Paul, the new bake igniter should have lasted years. If it has the same problem as before , meaning it is glowing but the gas valve is not opening, test that the stove is getting 120vac in bake mode, if it is lower, say 110v that may be a problem as the igniter is rated for 120v to be able to draw 3.5 amps to open the gas valve. If that is not the problem check the bake burner tube DG62-00066A the glow igniter DG94-00520A, should be positioned parallel to the burner tube and the ports on the tube should not be corroded, the air shutter should be wide open (LP setting), because if the burner does not burn cleanly there can be a residue build-up on the igniter that will shorten its life.

Hello Richard. 1. Check if cable of keypad has been inserted into connector of main PCB. 2. Check for short between main PCB and connector or keypad and cable. 3. If there is not a problem with connector on main PCB and cable of keypad, replace the main PCB.

Hello Abe. Yes, it is that simple. They say that in case something gets shorted out or to make sure they are not hooked up wrong. You should be able to do it yourself.
