Gary March 20, 2019 for Model Number RFG297AARS The refrigerator side cools just fine, freezer does not tried reset nothing tried again. A day later I got it to work, but decided to clean coils or whatever they are called. I unplugged it and can not get the freezer to work again only when I do the force freeze thing it works. The red light on the inverter board stays on. When I turn off force freeze, the red light goes off. THANKS
1 Answer Gary, you will want to check the freezer thermistor to ensure that it is reading properly. If the thermistor failed and senses around 0 degrees, then it will have the control think that the freezer is at temperature. If the sensor [DA97-02019B] tests good, then we will want to look towards the main control [DA41-00538A]. Read More...
Badih March 20, 2019 for Model Number rs22hdhpnsr Both fridge and freezer are not cooling. I'm getting error 81 E. I changed the inverter board and I'm getting the same error. On the control board, the red light is blinking 4 times. Can you help? Thank you
1 Answer Badih, This issue would be caused by a motor locked which would require the compressor to be changed out. Read More...
Matthew February 25, 2019 for Model Number RF24FSEDBSR/AA-0000 My refridgerator isn’t cooling in both compartments. I have replaced the condensor fan, compressor fan, and still get no cooling. My compressor or compressor fan is not turning on. When I plug the fridge in I get one light blink on the inverter board and then it stays off. I have tested and I know I’m getting power to both the fan and The compressor. It’s just not turning on. The condensor fan works fine. All lights and control panel in the front work with no problems. Could it be the Inverter board needs to be replaced? Thank you so much for your help!
1 Answer Matthew, you may want to check the compressor overload to ensure that it is functioning properly. If the compressor is receiving 120VAC, then either the overload, relay harness, or compressor are bad. You can test the overload for continuity. You can test the compressor resistance by testing the top pin as the common and testing to each of the lower pins. The resistance for both pins to the top pin should be the same. Read More...
Mary February 04, 2019 for Model Number RF268ACRS/xaa 01 The refrigerator and freezer are failing to cool and the compressor is not running. Everything else is working fine. No error codes on the main front display. For an unspecified amount of hours this will happen. Then restarts on its own. The inverter board LED is flashing 2 times... what does this mean?
1 Answer Mary, if you can post another question and include an e-mail address, I can send you some information as to diagnosing your refrigerator issues. Thanks Read More...
Jane January 31, 2019 for Model Number RF25HMEDBBC Samsung refrigerator purchased in 2017 suddenly stopped working. No error codes on the front display panel but fridge and freezer stopped cooling completely. Replaced PCB Inverter and now I am seeing 84 C error code on the front display and the light on the PCB Inverter is blinking 4 times, pauses then blinks 4 times. Repeats continuously. Could this be a relay switch problem or is it the compressor? Thanks
1 Answer Jane, what you will want to do is test at connection CN103 pin 1 and 3 for voltage ranging between 2-3VDC. If you are getting voltage, then your compressor has locked up or has a restriction. Read More...
Jgreer January 27, 2019 I have a 6 year old Samsung RFG298AARS. The temperature in both the fridge and freezer recently began to fluctuate drastically. When diagnostics are performed, no errors are returned. The compressor and condenser fan are working. There's light frost on the condenser coils, and there's no ice inside the compartments. The fans inside both the fridge and freezer are working fine. The temps read 2 freezer and 32 fridge, even when they are warm. If I unplug wait 5 min and plug back in, it runs fine for a short time and then warms up again and temps still read 2 and 32. I replaced the PCB and afterwards, the panel finally read 50 freezer and 74 fridge. Everything worked great.......for 3 days, but I got up this morning to a warm fridge....and the temps read 2 and 32 once again. Both compartments are empty. Any ideas?
1 Answer JGreer, You will want to check the temp sensors at room temp for a resistance of 5K at room temp. Read More...
Bob December 14, 2018 Samsung rf267aewpxaa refrigerator & freezer not working. Refrigerator iced up. Unthawed & worked for 2 days (freezer still not working). unthawed refrigerator & replaced temperature sensor on fan, temperature sensor on evaporator coil & defrost thermostat & defrost heater.Refrigerator worked but still icedup. Freezer still not working. Call & asked what the problems could be & said I needed a main board (da41-00651t.) Worked - no more icing in refrigerator but freezer still not cooling only to 58 f . Fans work in freezer also fan for compressor works. Only things I haven't ordered is a overload protector for compressor ,defrost heater for freezer & sub inverter board da41-00614f. Can you help? Compressor seems to be working since refrigerator is working. Help!!!
1 Answer Bob, You will want to pull the rear wall of the freezer compartment and check to see what the evaporator frost pattern looks like. If it is completely iced up then the issue will most likely be a defrost sensor or bimetal that is faulty. If there is very little to no frost pattern then this would be a sealed system type of issue and will need service. Read More...
Tim December 13, 2018 for Model Number RS263TDBP/XAA The inverter board light is not on. Fuse is good on inverter board and main board. Compressor, condenser fan, nothing is working. The lights are on in the refrigerator. There is a burned smell when I took the cover off, but can not see anything signs of burned connections. The front control board lights up, with the lights on the temperature selections moving up and down on the display. The burned smell seems to be more around the PCB board.
Ronda November 18, 2018 for Model Number AF4287HARS/XAA Have a Samsung AF4287HARS/XAA was working fine then noticed wasn't getting cold. Main control board was blinking and was told needed to replace the main control board. So I replace it and seemed to be working fine . But when unplug to move seemed like it started up but wouldn't get cold again. Took back panel off and notice main control board blinking again. What could be the problem? Thank you
1 Answer Ronda, This issue would most likely be caused by a faulty inverter board which would be part number DA92-00215C. Read More...
Pete November 07, 2018 for Model Number RFG237ACRS 7 year old fridge has been intermittently not cooling. Compressor will fail to turn on maybe once every couple of weeks for an unknown length of time and I would notice things in the freezer starting to thaw but the next day everything would be fine. Lately it is happening more often and lasting longer - to the point where everything thaws out. I am getting one blink on the diagnostic LED. Everything I have read leads me to believe the inverter board needs to be replaced, but I'm wondering if it could be anything else?
1 Answer Pete, one blink on the inverter board represents a starting failure on the compressor. I would recommend replacing the inverter board, part number is DA92-00215C Read More...
