Curtis, You will want to check to make sure that the connections on the inverter board are good and at the compressor. If the wiring is ok then replace the inverter board and if the issue continues then the compressor would need to be replaced.

Problem: Noticed interior temp seemed warm, checked with 2 independent thermometers inside cabinet. Both were reading ~ 50 Deg. inside refrig. Panel display was set and reading 40 deg. • Removed inside refrig. evap. panel to see if evap. coils were iced over- o Minimal to no-ice build-up on evaporator coils. o There was ice at top above the evap. coils around temp sensor and copper tubes. ? Defrosted all the ice, reassembled and restarted the fridge. o The panel temp was set to 38 waited for interior to cool down and reloaded food. o Next morning interior temp was 43 deg. • Freeze is maintaining 0 degrees. • Both ice makers are on and making ice. • Using "Force mode" function: o "FF"- Compressor sounds to be working, you can hear it start and run. ? If Refrigerator is put into "Force Mode" the temperature can go to 32 or colder. o "rd"- Refrigerator Defrost- appears to be working audible/hear it. Plastic popping sound. • Observation- Door temp. display appears lower 38 Deg. vs interior temp. 46 deg. or higher. • Inverter board LED solid when compressor is running/off when compressor is not running

Maggie, if the thermistors inside of the refrigerator are measuring in resistance the correct temperature of the cabin (as taken by a thermometer) then the issue would be with the main control board. For the most accurate information regarding the main control board, the REV number would be needed.

James, we wouldn't expect a new inverter board to be defective at this point. Since the compressor checked OK you want to check the inverter PCB and compressor relay connectors. If the connectors are OK, replace the inverter board, if no change replace the compressor. On the inverter board, check the CN04 connector wires for 13 VDC black to gray wires, and 5VDC across brown to gray wires from the main PCBoard, if you have the voltage recheck the compressor windings and replace the inverter board. if the voltage is low or no voltage, replace the main PC board. for

Andy, It sounds like the inverter board has failed on the unit and would need to be replaced. Check connections of the wiring to the compressor first and if this checks ok then replace the inverter board.

FREEZER AND FRIDGE WERE WERE NOT KEEPING COOL OR FREEZING. DID A RESET BY PUSHING POWER FREEZE AND POWER COOL AT THE SAME TIME. THAT SEEM TO WORK TILL THE NEXT DAY. Michael for Model Number RF268ABRS/XAA-0000

The compressor will not come on to cool the freezer or the refrigerator. The fan runs immediately and stays on when plugged in. I replaced the inverter board and the overload protector and there has not been a change. The red LED light on the inverter board is on and is NOT blinking. I hear the clicking to turn on the compressor every few minutes but nothing seems to change. Any ideas on what might be the problem? Perhaps the compressor is bad?

Michael, it is very possible that the compressor has failed. The windings would need to be tested (with the refrigerator unplugged) by testing from each pin to the other on the compressor. The windings should measure equally when each set is tested. If not, then the compressor has failed.
