For Samsung Refrigerator Ice Maker Assembly (Part Number: OEM12516573)

Hello Curtis, First verify that the crusher bin is pushed all the way in against the solenoid. Be sure to clear any clumps of ice in the bin. If the control is not toggling between crushed and cubed, check the harness for poor connections and/or damage at the door hinge. If all checks good, change the control DA97-08518D.

Hello Shawnee. The model number you provided is not working. Make sure the freezer is between 0° and 5°. You need to check and see if there is power going to the water valve when the icemaker cycles. If so, replace the water valve on the unit. If not, or the icemaker does not cycle, you will need to replace the icemaker on the unit. Also, check and make sure the fill tube on the unit is not frozen and clogged. If so, replace the water valve and thaw out the fill tube. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html

Spv for Model Number Samsung RS267LABP; Icemaker DA61-02205A

The icemaker (DA61-02205A) got stuck once when it was in the upside down position and I had to press the reset button. It turned right side up again and has been making ice, but it will now only flip to dispense the ice only when I press the reset button. I checked to see if the "Ice Off" was accidently pressed, but that is not the case... As long as I periodically keep pressing the reset button, I have ice; otherwise it just does not dispense them... Should I replace the icemaker?

Hello Larry. If you press the button and the unit does not cycle, you will need to order and replace the icemaker assembly DA97-00258C in the unit.

Robert, With the unit leaking when it fills and not dumping the ice then the issue would most likely be a faulty thermistor on the icemaker which the icemaker would need to be replaced.

John, On the icemaker motor at the bottom there is a small square button that you push which is the reset for the icemaker. If the icemaker does need to be replaced then it is held in by 2 screws in the front. Remove the 2 screws and pull down and out. Disconnect the harness and install the new icemaker assembly.
