Tom April 03, 2013 for Model Number RF260BEAESR I just purchaced a new samsung frig with a bottom freezer ice maker, I made sure water is going in to the unit and made sure the ice on off button is activated and lastly reset the unit many times but it still does not drop the ice. Is there somthing I'm missing?
1 Answer Tom, You will want to make sure that the freezer temp is set to -2. This unit operates off of a thermistor and if the thermistor is not being satisfied it will not drop ice. Any fluctuation in temperature can cause icemaking issues. Read More...

John C. April 07, 2012 for Model Number RS264ABSH The ice maker on my Samsung breaks about half of the cubes when they come out of the ice maker. I think that it has always worked like this. Is this a known problem or will a new ice maker solve this. It looks like it works fine and the water level seems fine.
1 Answer Hello John, When the cubes crack it's an indication that the freezer is running too cold. The freezer should never get below 0°F if an icemaker is present. Read More...
