Leo N. July 25, 2011 for Model Number rb215lash My refridgerator freezer section does not cooldown to -2 degrees. The temp indicates that one minute it is 20 degrees and the next it is 4 degrees. The indicator in a space of five minutes will read five different temperatures, and the refridgerator won't shut off. The temperature in the freezer is about 25-39 degrees and won't get any colder. Even with the refridgerator running all the time. Could you help me diagnose this problem? Thanks. Leo
1 Answer Hello Leo. You will need to check and see if the freezer has frost build up on the back of the freezer wall. If so, you have a defrost problem and will need to test the defrost heater. It should read closed for continuity. If it is bad, you will need to replace the evaporator assembly DA97-00192F. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3.
