Jay May 07, 2015 for Model Number RFG237AARS/XAA-0000 My refrigerator is not cooling properly and freezes up in 3-4 days and I have to defrost it and to get it to cool. I replaced the heater (a pain) and wanted to replace the temperature sensor. My problem, I can not find the sensor anywhere. The sensor does not have a Samsung number on it and the only numbers say 1018. The sensor is yellow with a white probe at one end and the plug is also white. The yellow cord has a clear tube enclosing it. Many of the diagrams I see on the internet do not show the same sensor that I have...any help would be appreciated and it will buy it from you.
1 Answer Jay, The defrost sensor for the refrigerator compartment is part number DA32-00006S. It does not come with the plastic sleeve on it but if you can get the sleeve off the other it will go on this one. Read More...
John November 29, 2012 for Model Number rfg297AABP/XAA I am having a cooling issue with both my fresh food and freezer compartments on my Samsung french door refrigerator. The fridge will no longer cool down past 48 degrees and the freezer below 30 degrees. I have run several self diagnostic tests and only once did I get a group of error codes. Position F1 numbers 1, 2, 4, 7. I proceeded to checked all the sensors for resistance and voltage. The only sensor that was a out of range was the ice room sensor. Could this be the cause of both compartments cooling issues? I also would like to know what percentage out of range for a sensor is used for replacement? Thank you for your help.
1 Answer John, Yes, the ice room sensor could create the issue in your refrigerator and freezer temperatures. The control would read the resistance and re program to a warmer temperature. The basic standard for tolerances is 10% (+/-) of the printed ratings. Read More...
