John for Model Number rfg297AABP/XAA I am having a cooling issue with both my fresh food and freezer compartments on my Samsung french door refrigerator. The fridge will no longer cool down past 48 degrees and the freezer below 30 degrees. I have run several self diagnostic tests and only once did I get a group of error codes. Position F1 numbers 1, 2, 4, 7. I proceeded to checked all the sensors for resistance and voltage. The only sensor that was a out of range was the ice room sensor. Could this be the cause of both compartments cooling issues? I also would like to know what percentage out of range for a sensor is used for replacement? Thank you for your help.
Answer John, Yes, the ice room sensor could create the issue in your refrigerator and freezer temperatures. The control would read the resistance and re program to a warmer temperature. The basic standard for tolerances is 10% (+/-) of the printed ratings. Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Wednesday, December 12, 2012
