Jim November 24, 2016 for Model Number Samsung Washing Machine Model WF331ANW/XAA-02 Replaced the door latch assembly today as it was cracked...all went fine. When starting the washing machine I received the error code indicating that the door wasn't locked. When I tried to open the door, it was locked and I'm unable to get it open. Any assistance would be appreciated!
1 Answer Hello Jim. Unplug the unit and reach the bottom of the door lock and pull the tab to manually unlock it. If the issue continues, then either the wiring is bad or the control board is bad on the unit. Read More...
Kerri November 10, 2016 for Model Number WF350ANW/XAA The door to my washer will not close/lock as the plastic piece on the washer appears to be broken. I am pretty sure I need the replacement part dc64-00519b. After looking further at the washer though and comparing what I am looking at to pictures online, it also appears I am missing the grey piece that is actually screwed into the washer. My son last did laundry so I'm not sure what happened and he is at school so I can't ask him. If the grey piece is necessary for the door to latch closed, what is that part number? Thanks.
1 Answer Kerri, Yes the door lock part number for the unit would be DC64-00519D and the door strike would be part number DC66-00375A. Read More...
Bianca October 09, 2016 for Model Number wf350anw/xaa Hello - I ordered a replacement door latch since my last one was busted. I replaced it with no issues and when I went to test my washer I closed the door and went to run a cycle and I get the error FL. The door is also stuck now and I can not get it open at all. What do I do?
1 Answer Bianca, If you remove the top cover and reach down next to the door lock, at the bottom of the lock there is a tab that you will pull to release the door. As for what would be causing this issue, with the lock having been replaced this will most likely be a main control board issue. Read More...
Dana August 26, 2016 for Model Number WF448AAP/XAA I returned from vacation to find the latch to our Samsung washing machine would not latch. The error code indicated such. Curious which is most likely, the actual $5 latch might do the trick or if I likely need replace the entire mechanism? When I opened the door, the bottom screw fell out. Otherwise, as far as I can tell, all looks usual. Our housekeeper was here in our absence, but did not indicate anything in particular that happened regarding the machine.
1 Answer Hello Dana. If the lock is fine on the unit, you will only need to replace the latch. If it broke off inside the lock, then you will need to replace both. Read More...
