Kate November 25, 2017 for Model Number S125 I have wanted to clean the interior window of our oven for 22 years, and today have finally dismantled the door to attempt it. I am at the point where it looks like "I can't get there from here," with no more screws to be removed, and it looks almost like a factory seal is preventing me from getting to the glass. Makes me wonder how it ever got dirty -- but that's besides the point. My online searching leads me to think it is the Window Pac that is the problem, but it seems to be untouchable. How can I get to it?
1 Answer Kate, Unfortunately the window pac will be the part that is sealed and no way to get inside to clean. You could get a new window pack WP5700M600-60. Read More...
Jim Perry August 06, 2016 for Model Number SVD8310S Jenn Aire Oven I need to find a glass pack (inner door) for my oven door. Do you have a compatible part as Jenn Aire lists this item as discontinued.
1 Answer Jim, The door window pack 5700M542-60 has been discontinued with no suitable replacement. The window pack WP5700M600-60 appears to be close to the same dimensions but we cannot say for sure that it will work for your unit. Read More...
Mike November 19, 2015 for Model Number Jenn-Air W225 I went to the "Compatibility" part of the page that displayed the WindowPac part I asked about before; it showed it as being ok with the Jenn-Air W225 when I typed it in. Not questioning your expertise of your inventory, but it said the part was ok for my model W225. Certainly don't want to order an incorrect part, but could you check this out for me please. Thanks. Mike McC

Mrs. Fix-It March 28, 2014 for Model Number W241 Jenn-Air Self-Cleaning Double Wall Ovens Replacing a shattered middle glass of the door of top double wall oven, Model 241, Jenn-Air. Can a non-professional replace this glass with the Window-Pac by Whirlpool,Part Number AP4396587? If so, can you give detailed instructions on how to do it? Do you need to turn off the electricity? Thank you very much.
1 Answer Mrs.Fix It, Yes, the average "do it yourselfer" can replace the window pack WP5700M600-60 without a lot of difficulty. Unfortunately, there is little to no "detailed" information regarding the dismantling of the door. You will need a couple of small nails to "lock" the door open to remove it from the hinges. Open the oven door all the way, insert the nails into the opening on the hinge plate, then slowly close the oven door until the door touches the nails, then grasp the door and lift it up and off the hinges and set it face up on a padded surface on the table. Remove the perimeter screws from the door frame and lift it off the door liner and set it aside. carefully lift the door glass, handle and support frame assembly from the door liner, set it aside in a safe place(you don't want to damage or break the glass). Then remove the screws that secure the inner door pad and glass pack to the door liner. Remove the insulation(you'll want to wear a long sleeved shirt or something similar) and then the glass assembly. Reverse the procedure and test the oven for operation. Yes, you should remove the power to the product, whenever you are working on it, it better to be safe than sorry, it's only a matter of turning the breakers off at the fuse or breaker panel.
