Albany Chris February 22, 2017 for Model Number MVWC300XW0 When starting a load the lid locks engages, but after a minute the cycle doesn't start and the lid unlocks (according to my friend). Since the lid is locking this seems like the actuator or control board instead of the lid lock mechanism? Thanks
1 Answer Chris, Correct, it's not likely the lid lock mechanism. It's more likely to be a false input from the shift actuator WPW10006355 or a loose connection in the wiring between the actuator and control board. Russell February 19, 2017 for Model Number MVWC450XW1 Maytag centennial, This model has a window in the lid. I was able to see that during the wash cycle the actuator is not spinning although you can hear the motor going back and forth. The spin cycle spins everything as normal.. What could be causing this.

1 Answer John, First check between the tubs, you may have a small article stuck between them. Then check the drain pump and impeller to make sure it's not clogged or seized. John January 26, 2017 Have kenmore washer giving a f7e5 code so i replaced the actuator and checked all connections. Started washer and still doing the same thing, tub fills and then will not agitate. Any idea of what may be going on with this machine. Thanks in advance for the help.

David January 17, 2017 for Model Number Maytag Centennial- MVWC200XW1 Washer fills up and starts to agitate but for only about dozen agitations then it just sets there doing nothing . It was doing this every once in awhile but does it every load now. It does it on both the Normal & Heavy Duty wash settings. I tried it today on Casual for the first and it ran a complete cycle with no trouble. If i put it in the Rinse & Spin or the Drain & Spin the washer performs fine. I did the diagnostic and it gave me the F7E5 error saying bad actuator/shifter. Do these symptoms seem consistent with a bad actuator ? (or bad timer etc. ?) Washer is aprox. 6yrs old
1 Answer David, That can occur. first check to make sure there are no loose wire connections at the shift actuator connector, wire harness or control board. Then check or replace the shift actuator WPW10006355, When you install the new actuator, make sure the shift tab on the switch, engages the lever from the splutch properly and that the actuator itself is properly mounted and secured to the casing. Jeremy January 14, 2017 for Model Number WTW5640XW0 I have an F7 E1 Error on my washer. The lid lock comes on, the motor tries to engage but doesn't and the timer counts down with the lid staying locked. I replaced the shift actuator and that didn't work.

David B January 07, 2017 We have a Cabrio Whirpool washer and we replaced the actuator because we got the error code that it wasn't working. So after replacing the actuator we cleared the error codes and did the recalibration. After we did that we tried to do a load but it won't start to spin when it gets to the drain and spin part. What is wrong or am I forgetting to do something else?
