When there is a full load of water, it creates a whirlpool effect & water runs over the top into the floor. Can you give me an idea of what I need to look at first - the actuator, splutch, gear case? Vince December 19, 2016 for Model Number MVW350AW1 The sensing light is flashing. The washer is full of water. I unplugged the washer to try to reset and when plugged back in the sensing light starts to flash again. I hold the start button for 3 seconds to reset the lights and then the light goes away but there is a buzzing noise, sounds like its coming from the control panel area. I am not able to enter into the diagnostic mode to troubleshoot the issue. I'm thinking either lid switch or the shift actuator switch? Thanks

Larry November 29, 2016 for Model Number wtw5700xw3 When I start a wash load on my Cabrio washer the lid locks and the sensing light comes on and the tub tries to spin for sensing the load and the tub turns maybe a 1/4 turn and stops. sometimes it may go around and unlock the lid. then goes to lock and try to spin the tub again and spins 1/4 once more and stalls. sometimes after trying to turn the tub a second time the agitator turns really fast and stops. I can turn the tub freely by hand. during this I hear a clicking sound coming from the lower right front of the washer. if I unplug the washer for a couple of hours and restart sometimes the washer will work normally and other times the clicking noise comes back. I tried to pull codes and there was nothing stored. help!!!

Juan F November 15, 2016 for Model Number WTW4950XW1 I have a whirlpool top loader. Model number wtw4950xw1. It was giving me code F7E1. So I went a head and replaced the actuator. Recalibrated the unit and perform a automatic test. And everything ran ok. Proceeded to wash load of clothes. Worked good. But when I went to wash another load, it did not finish the cycle and it gave me the same code again. F7e1. I recently replaced the belt and the drive hub kit. And again it worked ok for one load and then it gave me the same code again. What should I check?

Cathy October 12, 2016 I have a Kenmore washer model 110 20022012. It has been really actting up. I did a diagnostic test on it and got codes F7E1, F7E7 and F8E1. The lid locks when you start it then it try to take off and the lid light will start flashing. Sometimes it will work if you keep restarting it. It started actting up by the water just running and doing nothing else. Then if you would cancel the cycle and put it on drain and spin and let it run that cycle. You could put it back in wash mode and it would wash. But now it's really throwing a fit. I checked the wiring and made sure everything was plugged in.
1 Answer Cathy, Based on your error codes and description you have a couple of things to check. Make sure the standpipe/drain pipe,is at least 39-40 inches above the floor. A low standpipe can cause the washer to "siphon" and create the F8 E1 error code. The F7 E1 and F7 E7 indicate an issue with the Shift actuator WPW10006355 / W10006355. Basically the sensor isn't producing the signal to the main control board, and the control senses that the motor isn't spinning at the proper RPM. A faulty sensor in the actuator can also cause lid lock issues. Re check the wiring between the actuator and the control board, if all's OK replace the actuator. Read More...

Locked rotor—check that basket, impeller, and motor can rotate freely. Check harness connections from main control to motor and shifter. Bad motor capacitor, motor or capacitor connector disconnected, or broken wires to motor or capacitor. Belt is off or pulley is loose—check drive belt. Verify that belt is fully installed on both pulleys. Also, check that the pulleys are fastened securely to the motor shaft and agitator shaft.
