Diana June 14, 2016 for Model Number 11020022013 When it get to the spinning cycle its not spinning. We changed the capacitor and it started working but before when it wasn't working it would get to the spinning cycle it would just have a clicking sound. We got the new capacitor put in and know it won't spin again. I don't know if the capacitor went out or if something is making it go out or could it be something else not making it spin. Can you help?
1 Answer Diana, The most likely cause for the unit to not spin will be a faulty shift actuator which is part number WPW10006355. Read More...
Paul June 03, 2016 for Model Number Kenmore High efficiency washer Why my washer is too noisy when it spinning what is the problem and what part do I need to buy?
1 Answer Hello Paul. It sounds like the bearings are bad and will need to be replaced in the unit. Read More...
Ivan May 28, 2016 My washer does not agitate or spin , the shifter was replaced, but the shifter actuator still sounds all the time, until it stops completely.
1 Answer Ivan, The shift actuator should only operate when the control tells the actuator to shift from agitate to spin, not the complete cycle. it shouldn't be making any noises when it runs. You should have an error code or lights flashing on the console. You can check to make sure the actuator arm is positioned properly in the shifter arm lever, and that the wire harness is attached properly to the actuator terminals. You should find the tech data sheet attached to the interior of the washer cabinet, on the front panel, You can review the error codes and program the control to test all the components of the washer. Andrea April 26, 2016 for Model Number 110.21302010 My washer was not agitating or spinning at all, so I replaced the shift actuator. Now it's spinning, but not agitating still. It just gets stuck in wash mode for a while and then will try to agitate, but won't do its normal job. I cleaned all the gunk out from underneath the agitator and still nothing. Could this be the motor coupling?
1 Answer Hello Andrea, This can be caused by the splutch W10721967 or gearcase assembly W11132267. Diagnostics should be run to ensure no fault codes indicate an electronic/electrical problem. Read More...
Crystal March 22, 2016 for Model Number Bravos quiet series 400 I noticed with my last load of laundry about half way through the cycle a loud clicking sound. No error codes and not unbalanced. I paused the wash to move items around and thought it might restart without any issue. It continued with the clicking as if it was trying to complete the wash and spin/drain. The timer went down four minutes and it never moved. I noticed a burning smell and turned off the machine. The sound still continued until I was able to unplug it. I have had nothing but problems with this washer. Very disappointed with the poor quality and constant repair and/or "glitches" with this machine. I had a neighbor mention it might need a new belt but then I ran across this site. Any ideas on what it might be? Thanks in advance:)
1 Answer Hello Crystal. It could be a bad board, bearings, or belt if your model has one. You will need to locate where the smell was coming from. We will need your model number to help you more with this. Please call 1-877-477-7278 or post your model number with a new question on the parts page. http://www.appliancepartspros.com/modelnumber_locator.aspx Read More...
Tommy January 11, 2016 for Model Number 110.26002010 When replacing the motor and actuator does this machine have to be recalibrated as of now sometime you can here the washer click like the lid locks and let lid down and in hums have to unplug it to get it to stop then sometimes when lid shuts it locks before start button is pushes and unplug to reset hope you have answer thanks tommy
1 Answer Hello Tommy. CALIBRATION MODE IMPORTANT: Calibration must be performed when any of the following components have been replaced: Main Control, Basket, Drive Assembly, Suspension, Motor, and Capacitor. Not performing calibration will result in poor wash performance. To access Calibration Mode, perform steps 1 and 2 of Activating the Service Diagnostic Modes. Turn the cycle selector knob until the status LEDs or display correspond as follows: ? “Rinse” LED On, “04” Displayed on 7-segment 04 Sensing Soak Wash Rinse Spin Done Press the START button to begin washer calibration. All status LEDs will turn on. ? Do NOT interrupt calibration, disturb washer, or remove power; otherwise, calibration must be repeated. ? Lid must be down to perform test. ? Basket must be empty to perform test (no water or clothes). ? Calibration cycle runs for approximately 2-4 minutes. Cycle completes when door unlocks and washer enters standby mode. Read More...
Robert December 07, 2015 for Model Number Maytag MVWX600XW0 I recently replaced the W10721967 cam kit for the second time, the washer worked well for several loads but then began not spinning the wash to remove excess water. I looked at the installation and noticed the cam actuator stuck in the on position. It seemed hard to reposition. Is there a way to determine if this part is bad? I also noticed that the large drive pulley that fits on the spline shaft fits rather loosely on the shaft should there be a washer on it to tighten it up? Thanks Bob
1 Answer Robert, The shift actuator would most likely be the issue with the unit not spinning. As for the large pulley you would want to tighten the nut on the pulley to tighten it up. Read More...
Michael December 04, 2015 for Model Number MVWX700XL2 Washer will not spin or agitate. When starting a cycle, the lid will lock, unlock, lock then fill. Usually it will spin a few times to "sense" the load. I put the unit on it's front and turned the shaft with my hand. I heard a click. The unit then ran a cycle correctly once. I hear it "click" like the actuator is trying to work. Not sure if it's the actuator or the gearcase. If I knew which part it needs I know I could install it myself. But I don't want to buy the wrong part. Any ideas?
1 Answer Michael, The most likely cause for the unit not spinning and agitating would be the actuator. The part number for the actuator is WPW10006355. Read More...
Pearl November 18, 2015 for Model Number Mvwc350aw1 My washer won't do anything at all. It was making a loud banging noise like it was unbalanced so we cleared that and restarted then later the done light came on but the washer was still full of water and clothes were soaking wet. It smelled as if some rubber was burning. I unplugged everything and checked the belt but it's still in tact. When I plugged it back in, none of the lights come on and it makes no sound at all. What could that be? It's less than three years old.
1 Answer Pearl, With the lights not coming on or anything then it could be a loose connection of wires or a faulty control board. Check all the wiring to make sure that nothing came loose and then replace the control board if this does not resolve. Read More...
Bill October 05, 2015 for Model Number Whirlpool Washing Machine WTW4800XQ2 At first we thought overflowing during wash cycle. Replaced pressure switch. Now I see the tub will (most times) spin while agitating or in wash mode. It usually happens at beginning of wash cycle. The tub will spin and water will pour out. The spinning of the tub makes the water rise and overflow. Please help :)
1 Answer Bill, With the unit spinning while it is filling, this would most likely be a control board issue. The unit should fill then go to agitation. This would be a issue within the control board causing this issue. Read More...
