Ricco September 19, 2016 for Model Number 7EWTW1715 When I unplug my washer for a week and then use it, the shifter actuator malfunctions. Is there a capacitor in the actuator or elsewhere?
1 Answer Hello Ricco. No, if the shift actuator is doing that, then it needs to be replaced. If it is new, then the board W10480621 will need to be replaced. Read More...
Tom September 12, 2016 for Model Number Maytag Bravos washer Bravos washing machine - replaced the shift actuator 13 months ago. Now the washer is having issues getting started. Lid lock flashes, them a persistent hum noise. Can't even power off without pulling the cord out of the wall... then plug back in and if I spin the basket by hand and re-start it usually works. Will go into diagnostic mode fine - no hum so I discounted the capacitor as the problem. Shift actuator again?
1 Answer Tom, The shift actuator would be the most likely cause for this issue. You would want to check in the diagnostics to see if there are any error codes stored. Read More...

Jennifer August 18, 2016 for Model Number MVWC360AW0 Washer stopped in rinse cycle, tried to restart machine & the sensing light was on. The lid wouldn't lock to allow it to start. We've replace the lid lock without any luck. We then tore into it further & had unplugged the shift actuator & found a white piece on this that has a spring attached to it that wasn't in a groove. The white piece popped back in the groove & we plugged the actuator back in & bam the lid locked. We thought we were good to go, but washer fills and cycles through the wash cycle but won't kick in to spin mode. We've manually drained it, unplugged the actuator & followed all the same steps & same thing. Do we need to replace the actuator?
1 Answer Hello Jennifer. It sounds like the actuator is bad and will need to be replaced. Make sure all the wiring is good on the unit. Read More...
Dan T August 06, 2016 for Model Number Kenmore 110.20022011. Top load washer My kenmore washer when I press the start button the lid locks and I hear a clicking sound after about 5 minutes it will start to fill with water. If then runs ok expect it takes several minutes between cycles. Then does not spin dry. I have separately run a rinse and spin. Could this be a bad shift actuator? I hope it is not a main board
1 Answer Dan, It is possible that the shift actuator would be the issue with the unit. You will want to access the tech sheet and put the unit into the diagnostics and see if there are any error codes. If there are any then it would tell you what to check. Read More...
Bl August 04, 2016 for Model Number Maytag Centennial Washer MVWC200XW Hello. My washer will unlock after a cycle but before I have even unloaded everything the lock will click again (while lid is open). Then the lock light just flashes and I am unable to start another load unless I unplug the machine and clear everything. I have also noticed that not all cycles have been draining completely. Is this the shift acuator?
1 Answer Hello BL. No, it sounds like the control board on the unit. It powers the lid lock. You will need to replace the board. Read More...

Joe K July 19, 2016 for Model Number Admirial ATW4675YQ Hello Appliance Parts Pro, I am a proud owner of a two year old Admiral washing machine model number ATW4675YQ. Lately, I have been experiencing problems with the washing machine not spinning and completing the cycle. What I noticed is immediately after the wash light goes off and it drain, the lid lock also goes off unlocking the lid and there it sits doing nothing. To remedy the problem I either put it in the drain/spin mode or the rinse/spin mode – the lid light goes on and the cycle finishes. After reading several do-it-yourself stories I’m beginning to wonder if it’s the shift actuator. I know that the locking mechanism is working because it works in other modes. What do you think? Thanks, Joe K
1 Answer Hello Joe. No, it sounds like the control board W10484681 has failed and will need to be replaced on the unit. Read More...
Kim July 17, 2016 for Model Number Wtw5840bw0 Washer starts up and spins a quarter spin then clicks several times. That's all it will do.
1 Answer Hello Kim. Make sure the pulley and belt are good. If so, then try diagnostic mode and see if the unit will spin properly there. If not, then the motor or the gear box is bad. If the motor runs, but the gear box does not move, you will need to replace the gear box on the unit. Read More...
