Karen May 04, 2013 for Model Number Whirlpool he wtw4950xw Washer agitates normal during wash,spin, rinse cycles but on final spin motor starts to spin it will stop and go as if something is interrupting it and I hear clicking on board area then it spins down. Light is green on spin and lid light is blinking red. I've replaced with new lid lock. I've also done a diagnostic test and comes up normal Could it be the actuator?

March 31, 2013 for Model Number Mvwx600xw0 When I try to start my washer I hear a noise like the lid lock tries to lock and then another sound that comes from where the shift actuator is located. Then the lid lock light just keeps blinking and I can not start the washer at all. I replaced the lid lock assembley and it still does the same thing. Your help would be greatly appreciated.

John February 20, 2013 for Model Number whirlpool actuator pt# w10006355 what are the symptoms of a bad actuator located under the whirlpool top load washer. It is located next to the motor the pt# is w10006355. Not sure about the model though. It has a full agitator but no coupler drive. newer style I guess

Steve1147 June 22, 2012 for Model Number mvwx600xwo Washer wouldn't begin any cycle, just "click....thump". Ran the diagnostics, all goes well to step 8 (shifter moves to agitation position), again, "click...thump" for about 2 minutes, then No agitation as it should. Pump drains unit, then step 11 (shifter moves to spin position) same 2 minutes of click...thump, then motor doesn't spin as it's suppossed to. Lid unlocks and diagnostics is over. Is this the actuator? (I also ran calibration on it twice, no help) Thanks, Steve
1 Answer Steve, Sounds like a loose connection at the shifter or motor.
