Manufacturer Part Number: WP8182119

The Bellow Tub Seal is an OEM part for Whirlpool washing machines. This part acts as a flexible seal between the door and the drum of front-loading washers, preventing water from leaking out during operation. Note: The clamps do not come with the seal. For clamps order W10902779 and WP8182210

Causes of damage to the bellow tub seal often include regular wear and tear from frequent use, the buildup of detergents and chemicals that can degrade the material over time, and physical damage from overloading or from objects caught between the door and the drum.

Symptoms of a bad Bellow Tub Seal include:

  • Visible cracks, holes, or tears in the bellow
  • The accumulation of mold or mildew
  • Water leakage from the front of the machine
  • Clothes getting caught or snagged in the damaged areas of the bellow

This OEM Whirlpool part is also compatible with Maytag, KitchenAid, Jenn-Air, Amana, Magic Chef, Admiral, Norge, Roper and some Kenmore models.

Hello Guy. The control panel removes the same way except, you have to unsnap the trim from the center of the panel and around the door to remove the front panel and the control panel from the unit.

Christopher, If the door will not lock will not open then the door lock assembly would need to be replaced. To get the door open you will need to remove the lower panel on the front of the unit. Once off you will need to reach your hand up to the bottom of the door lock assembly and there will be a tab at the bottom that you will pull down on to release the door lock.

Neil L for Model Number Whirlpool Duet Steam Tumblefresh 4.4

I paid very close attention to the video which I am finding quite helpful. I've hit a snag during the part where the demonstrator presses two release valves for the top console section to come off. This differs from my model in that there is no single top console - detergent bay to left (already off), washer door section includes the controls and extends to the top of the washer, LED display and finer laundry controls to right. Does this LED part need to come off for me to continue with the bellow replacement? And if it does, how? Thank you, Neil

Hello Neil. These videos are not model exact. You will need to look at your model number and see what you have to do to remove the bellow fom the unit. Usually the front panels and the consoles do need to be removed to replace the parts on the unit.

Hello Gabe, The door gasket must have the folds and "splits" because the tub assembly is on a suspension system inside the cabinet. The front panel is not on this suspension so it has to have the spring or "bellows" effect made into it so they can both move seperately. The new ones are made the same way. We do not make the parts. We sell the parts that the manufacturers make.

Skippy for Model Number GHW 9300PW4

Hi. 1). The video makes it look pretty easy, but I've read that it is extremely difficult to replace this part and the average homeowner would have trouble pulling the rubber seal and putting it in place, Not damaging the clamp, etc. Could a do-it-yourselfer honestly complete this job fairly easily in less than an hour? 2). I have a half-inch half- circle tear in this seal at the bottom of the door opening. Even though it's been there for over a year, is just now starting to leak a bit of water from the bottom of the door. How does this happen? Someone told me a zipper could do it but I zip all of my clothes before washing them. How can we prevent damage to the seal? 3) Where can I find warranty information on this and other products you sell. Thank you very much. I appreciate your help.

Skippy, Changing the door boot seal for this unit may take a little more than an hour based on skill level but can be done by a diyer. As far as what would cause this issue. It could be caused by a zipper, something that was in a pocket that fell out, ie. a comb for instance. There are a number of things that could cause the issue which would mostly be something that got into the wash.
