Skippy for Model Number GHW 9300PW4 Hi. 1). The video makes it look pretty easy, but I've read that it is extremely difficult to replace this part and the average homeowner would have trouble pulling the rubber seal and putting it in place, Not damaging the clamp, etc. Could a do-it-yourselfer honestly complete this job fairly easily in less than an hour? 2). I have a half-inch half- circle tear in this seal at the bottom of the door opening. Even though it's been there for over a year, is just now starting to leak a bit of water from the bottom of the door. How does this happen? Someone told me a zipper could do it but I zip all of my clothes before washing them. How can we prevent damage to the seal? 3) Where can I find warranty information on this and other products you sell. Thank you very much. I appreciate your help.
Answer Skippy, Changing the door boot seal for this unit may take a little more than an hour based on skill level but can be done by a diyer. As far as what would cause this issue. It could be caused by a zipper, something that was in a pocket that fell out, ie. a comb for instance. There are a number of things that could cause the issue which would mostly be something that got into the wash. Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Tuesday, November 5, 2013
