Ozzie, No, a damaged or inoperative dispenser control board should no affect the ice maker. The ice maker has it's own power supply and circuits to the fill valve and should make ice, regardless of the dispenser control board. You may want to start by checking the water filter, make sure it's not clogged, then check the fill valves located on the back of the refrigerator, there are two valves, WP12544002 primary and 12002193 secondary fill valve. If the ice maker solenoid on either valve fails, the ice maker will not make ice.
