This phase control board is the power module that drives designated surface elements on compatible cooktops. It regulates power and communicates with the main control to deliver steady heat, restoring proper heating performance when the original module fails. What it does:

  • Regulates and supplies power to assigned surface heating zones
  • Communicates with the main/user interface control to execute heat settings
  • Helps monitor fault conditions to protect the circuit
  • Typical symptoms: one or more surface elements won't heat, intermittent heating, or the unit powers on but doesn't heat those zones
What's included:
  • One electronic control board
Install notes:
  • Disconnect power at the breaker before servicing
  • Use ESD protection; avoid touching component leads and solder joints
  • On models with multiple phase boards, confirm the correct board position for your unit
  • Label and transfer all connectors; secure the board per the service manual and test each surface element after reassembly

Baker & Handyman for Model Number Kitchen Aid Mixer KSM90

Hey there, Today our Kitchen Aid Mixer KSM90 didn't start. Power Cord is fine and no mechanical issues before was working just fine. We were using this one until a month ago we got a Kitchen Aid Mixer Pro 600. After watching several videos I am almost sure it's an electrical problem. My question is-- after me checking it using a multimeter I can tell it gets power but its motor doesn't get any though: If I order from you a new Board-Phas do you think this Kitchen Aid mixer KSM90, will be back again to work??? Or what else should I check before? Thanks in advance: Alex.

Baker & Handyman, Based on there being power to the phase board but not to the motor when turned on then the issue would be caused by the phase board W11174552.

Speed stutter (skipping), not on all settings, setting #4, some on #2, 6,8 are fine. Background: mixer was making noise like marbles in a tin can. Main't done: replaced field housing, armature, brushes and springs. Armature and field housing had wear marks, brushes 1/2 gone. Noise is gone BUT now stutter, tried to adj speed control screws to 15 rot per 15 sec, works for stir setting but not others, tried to find happy medium for other settings, NG. Observation: contacts on controller board getting worn. Phase board??? or ???
