Eli November 16, 2019 We just moved into a 10 year old house that has a stainless steel Maytag MDB8959SBS3 dishwasher and after a few cycles we noticed water on the floor. It appears to be coming from the door, the insulation is damp on the inside between the door and the insulation, I believe the soap dispenser is bypassing/allowing water to seap past and drip down the door onto the floor. Is there a gasket between the dispenser and the inside of the door? Thanks
1 Answer Eli, Yes there is a gasket on the inside flange of the detergent cup assembly, as well as a bracket and 6 screws to hold and seal the assembly to the inner door liner. Chances are the leak is not from the detergent cup assembly. based on your information, you should check and make sure the dishwasher is level, front to back and side to side. Check to make sure the dishwasher isn't overfilling, the water depth should be approx. 3/4 in. deep (should cover the top of the center cover filter screen(s) then check the lower spray arm and hub assembly for cracks and "split" seams. Marlyn W January 12, 2013 for Model Number KUDC10FXSS1 I have a Kitchenaide dishwasher, Model KUDC10FXSS1 that has recently started leaking water from the front of the door at the 2 lower corners. The door gasket looks good. Is it possible it might be leaking past the dispenser? I can't believe it's already leaking; only 1 1/2 years old. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you, Marlyn
1 Answer Hello Marlyn, You will want to check your spray arms to make sure that they are not clogged or cracked. A clogged or cracked spray arm can spray water unevenly in tub and cause a rippling effect which will cause leaking issue. 1 Answer Hello Cindy! The handle is part number WPW10205890 and the handle latch is part number WPW10404412. Disconnect the power and remove the screws around the inner door panel. Next remove the inner door panel and access the latch assembly. Remove the latch and unplug the wires going to the latch and install the new handle and latch into the door panel.
