Daniel F Englewood , FL April 03, 2016 Appliance: KitchenAid Undercounter Dishwasher KUDC10IXBL1 Dishwasher needed a new bottom door seal Thanks to Jason and his tech people at Appliance Parts Pro, I was able to remove and replace the seal and eliminate all leaks at the bottom of the door. I have a Kitchenaide (Whirlpool) dishwasher model KUDC10IXBL1. Here is how to replace the bottom door seal. 1) Shut off breaker to dishwasher on the electrical panel. 2) Open the dishwasher door completely, and while supporting the door, remove the hex head screws that hold the outside cover. 2) Close the door carefully and slip the outside cover off the dishwasher. 3) Open the door as far as it will go to reveal the screws under the door. Here is the tricky part: Use a small nut driver to remove the 5 screws holding the seal. You will have to push the tool into the small opening and carefully remove the screws. 4) Pull out the old seal and reverse the order to install the new seal. If the screw comes off the driver while you are attempting to thread it back into the bottom of the seal, look up on the door and you should be able to find the screw. Be careful not to drop the screw where it can bounce under the dishwasher. Keep in mind, you may have to remove the two screws holding the dishwasher under the counter top in order to pull the dishwasher out a little bit to make the installation a bit easier. 5) You do NOT need to remove the door for this repair. 6) Carefully reinstall the outside cover and make sure you start on one side with the first screw and then go back and forth reinstalling the remaining screws. Be careful not to under or over tighten these screws, but they should be fairly tight to prevent any leaking. James G Lynden , WA May 16, 2016 Dishwasher was leaking from door I called to ask about the correct gasket for the door. As VERY helpful lady suggested that it was probably a split arm spray. She was absolutely correct. I have used you web site for parts in the past and will always make it my first stop when ordering appliance parts. Edward C San Diego , CA May 22, 2016 Appliance: Model KUDC10FXSS7 Water leaking out the front of the door I noticed that there was water leaking out the front of the dishwasher door. The original hard plastic door seal was warped and had a piece broken off. This is not the rubber door seal along the side, but the hard plastic lower door seal. First, unplug the dishwasher or turn off the circuit breaker. I removed the screws from the inside of the door so that I could remove the front cover. Then, I also removed the hinges from the door. That gave me easy access to the tiny screws holding the plastic seal on. I notice other people have left the door on, but I found it easier to access the door seal screws this way. You will need to unplug the top control panel to remove the door. Replaced the piece and put everything back together. Also leveled the dishwasher a bit better. Works great. Pretty easy project over all. 30 minutes. Read More... 21 People found this story helpful Do-It-Yourself Rating: Repair Time Estimate: 30-60 minutes Tools: Screwdrivers, Socket Set
