Hi! I need to replace the idler pulley assembly on my Maytag dryer. I ordered the part from your website and it just arrived. The video on your website is very good. However, mine is a gas dryer and the video does not address what I will need to do with the gas line and the dryer vent. Will I need to disconnect the gas line to complete the repair? If so, is it advisable to attempt it myself? Or should I call a professional? I am not an expert at such repairs. Also, how do I disconnect the dryer vent? Thanks, ..Premal

1 Answer

Premal, You will be able to keep the gas line and vent attached to replace the idler pulley. The repair can then be completed as seen in the video.
