Mv April 26, 2023 for Model Number WED8740DW1 If I purchase and install a new idler pulley, do I need to lubricate it or does it go on dry?

Javier August 31, 2022 for Model Number WGD95HEDC1 I own a whirlpool duet dryer model WGD95HEDC1, it won't start. It powers on and as soon as I press the start button, you can hear a click and it moves about a 1/4 of an inch and it stops. I checked the usual suspects and all the sensors give me continuity or they read correctly, the belt and the idler pully seem fine, I can move the dryer by hand.
1 Answer Javier, Thanks for the question!!! Check for 120v to the motor. If voltage is present the motor W11511154 is bad. If no voltage at the motor, check the control for output voltage, if no voltage replace the control W10849080. Read More...

Premal August 01, 2020 for Model Number MGD6000XW0 Hi! I need to replace the idler pulley assembly on my Maytag dryer. I ordered the part from your website and it just arrived. The video on your website is very good. However, mine is a gas dryer and the video does not address what I will need to do with the gas line and the dryer vent. Will I need to disconnect the gas line to complete the repair? If so, is it advisable to attempt it myself? Or should I call a professional? I am not an expert at such repairs. Also, how do I disconnect the dryer vent? Thanks, ..Premal
1 Answer Premal, You will be able to keep the gas line and vent attached to replace the idler pulley. The repair can then be completed as seen in the video. Read More...

Wanda January 17, 2016 for Model Number SDE305DAYW The Q&A refer to Whirlpool part #. I have a Maytag - would it be the same? When ordering the bracket, is the idler pulley included with unit? Wouldn't it be better since I've already taken off the back to replace both? I'm retired & this is my first attempt at home repair. Your video is very clear-think I can handle this. Thank you
1 Answer Hello Wanda. It is best to order the assembly WP37001287 and replace the whole assembly on the unit. Read More...

Floyd February 04, 2014 for Model Number MED6000XW0 I need a belt tensioning pulley. I can find the bracket (AP5671066), but it doesn't show that there's a pulley on it. The exploded parts view doesn't show the pulley at all. So my questions are 1) does the part# AP5671066 come with the pulley and 2) If not, is the pulley available separately, and, if so, 2a) what is the part number and 2b) can I install it myself onto my existing bracket? Thanks!
Alan June 11, 2013 for Model Number GGQ9800PW1 I recently replaced my support rollers, belt and idler pulley as it was making a squeaking noise when running. It seemed to had corrected the problem only for a while and then the noise came back. Also seems to be coming from the idler pulley and was wondering if I needed to grease this thing or could it be the shaft it spins on is damaged and it needs to be either polished up or replaced. Any ideas would be appreciated. Thanks
1 Answer Hello Alan, If the roller shafts are sticky or discolored, they should be cleaned with rubbing alcohol and the inside of the roller should be cleaned also. The idler pulley can cause the noise also. It can be cleaned in the same manner as the rollers and roller shafts. Read More...
