This is an oven control board and clock manufactured by Whirlpool. It allows the user to adjust temperature, change oven function, set timers, and more. While the control board is designed to be durable, it can fail over time through exposure to moisture or high temperatures. When the oven control board begins to fail, it will not respond to user input, or may respond incorrectly. Replacing the control board is the only option to restore functionality. To replace it, turn off the power or unplug the oven. Remove the four screws holding the control board in place and disconnect the wires. Install the new board by following these steps in reverse. This is a genuine OEM part. It is sold individually, and fits Whirlpool, Roper, and Amana branded ovens.

For Whirlpool Oven Control Board (Part Number: OEM18032031)

Ihatethisrange for Model Number SVD48600B

Hi, Couple of years ago I replaced the Electronic Clock Control Board 71001799 after the original one had become to dim to see anymore. Since then the Control Panel with Touchpad 71002310 started to act up and, for example, the cancel button would not work. We were able to use it by setting the oven to 0 temp and that would shut it off. But now the Convect bake button started intermittently not working so I decided to replace the Control Panel with Touchpad 71002310. I first unplugged the appliance, then took the panel off, removed the Clock Control Board and put it in the new panel and re-assembled. Now I find the lights on the Clock Control Board will not come on - I re-verified the connections are snug, and all buttons seem to work fine now and based on the sounds everything seems to work (i.e. oven preheat, timer alarms). Wondering if there is anything I can do to trouble shoot the Clock Control Board or if I should just replace it again? Thanks for your assistance, Greg

Hello Greg. You will need to test for power coming to the display board on J1. 1&2 pins will show 12VDC and 3&4 will show 20VDC. If it is there, then the display board is bad or a wiring harness issue. If there is no power there, you will need to replace the relay board on the back of the unit. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html

Julie, The control board that would be required for your unit is 8302320. Unfortunately this has been discontinued by the manufacturer with no suitable replacement available.

Karen for Model Number WM27260B

Hi. After Thanksgiving, I used the self-cleaning mode to clean my WM27260B Jenn-Aire oven. After cleaning, the bottom bake element shorted (screws out and moved). Replaced bake element and terminal ends. Broil element continues to work. Bake element did not work, so I removed oven from the wall and found a burn mark on sensor (violet) wire. Spliced wire and upon checking oven while out of wall, the bake element worked (burned my finger touching the element). Since unit was out, I vacuumed dust, etc from back of oven. Replaced oven into wall and bake element does not work! Repeated removal and can hear clicking at relay board and sparks sometimes. Think it is one of the relay boards or control boards but don't know where to go from here. Your help is greatly appreciated.

Karen, You will want to check the wiring between the board and the element to make sure that there are no loose wires. If the wiring checks ok then the relay board will most likely be the issue. the relay board is part number 12001690A but unfortunately it has been discontinued by the manufacturer with no suitable replacement available.

Hello George, This will either be an issue with the membrane switch 71002649 or the oven control WP71001799. I'm sorry but these parts have been discontinued by the manufacturer and no satisfactory substitutions have been provided.
