January 19, 2018 for Model Number whirlpool gss26c4xxy04 My water lines to the ice machine and water dispenser started to go out intermittently and water is dripping and freezing in the back of the refrigerator near the water filter? Also, everything is freezing in the refrigerator. Seems like a temperature control issue? Was told it needed part W11088499. Put this part in, but still have the same problem?
1 Answer Hello Tony, This could be an issue with the thermistor or the wiring harness. You should first put a thermometer in there to get an accurate temperature reading so you will be sure to be treating the correct issue. There could also be an issue with the air diffuser. Ralph October 01, 2017 for Model Number WSF26C3EXB01 The air baffle opens and slams closed when calling for cooling. I ran a diagnostic and it showed it works properly in test mode, as does the evap fan. The FC and RC thermistors are both showing pass in test mode also. Is this board the cause? Thanks
