This is an electronic control board for refrigerators. It's an internal component that ensures the refrigerator runs correctly at all times. The electronic control board is used to manage temperatures, defrosting times, and other features in the refrigerator. If this part is damaged or worn, it may cause cooling issues, prevent the appliance from working, or cause erratic behavior. In some cases, it will also make a whistling or clicking noise.If the electronic control board is malfunctioning, it will need to be replaced. Tools needed include a Phillips screwdriver, flathead screwdriver, and needle-nose pliers. A pair of work gloves can also be useful to protect the hands. Before starting work with the control board, unplug the refrigerator or turn off the circuit breaker. Locate the control board cover, remove the screws, and take off the cover. Detach the wires and take out the electronic control board. Replace the wires in the appropriate places on the new board and install it into the refrigerator.This is an authentic OEM replacement electronic control board. Linda, you will want to check to see if the door chute motor will open up when the dispenser paddle is engaged. If the door chute does not open up, then the issue would be with the display assembly WPW10372206. If the door chute does open up, then you will want to check the main control at connection P13. At connection P13 you will want to test the blue wire (with the red probe of a meter) and the gray wire (with the black probe of a meter) together for 140VDC when the dispenser switch is engaged. If there is not 140VDC, then the main control W11088499 has failed. If there is 140VDC, then you will want to inspect the wiring harness and connectors going from the control to the door for any signs of a break or corrosion.
